Arif and Chad (from the Athletic Mock 6.0 only first 3 rounds). They will have one more best case on Thursday.

Top 4 tackles, top 2 CB and Fulton, and the top 3 WRS plus Jefferson, Higgins, Teagor, and Shenault are already off of the board. (kind of a worst case scenario mock with Twitter voting for picks)

(22) 1. Trade down with Browns and get picks 41,74, and 187
(25) 1. Jeff Gladney CB (picked over Mims, Austin Jackson, and DT Ross Blacklock)
(41) 2. Antoine Winfield S (picked over Austin Jackson and Pittman)
(58) 2. Isiah Wilson OT G (picked over DT Nevilee Gallimore and WR Bryan Edwards)
(74) 3. Van Jefferson, WR Florida ( picked over G Roberth Hunt and DT James Lynch)
(89) 3. Robert Hunt G Louisiana-Lafayatte (picked over DT James Lynch and WR Gabriel Davis
(90) 3. James Lynch DT Baylor

I don't like it. Wrong Baylor player. Not bad really. I hate the Van Jefferson pick. Old and unproductive and slow. Gladney, Winfield, Wilson and Hunt all seem to be good values. How did we get pick 90? Looks like we lost pick 105.

Replace Van Jefferson with an actually good WR and I think that would be a pretty good draft.

If the draft started to fall like this, move up, not down.

There may not be a college football season next year and next years draft could be a complete unknown. I wouldn't mind spending some of next years assets to
improve this years class.
I wouldn't mind moving up at both 22 and 58, depending on how the draft falls and we can't get a player we covet by standing pat.

Some early returns from the Draft Positions thread, which is to guess what positions the regime will pick in order:

CB. 75% expect CB to be addressed with teams first pick; 100% expect CB addressed by the third pick
G/OL. 88% expect G or OL to be addressed by the third pick; only one person ranked it taken with the first pick
WR. 50% expect it to be addressed with second pick. 100% addressed by the fifth pick

Notable groupings:
DE. 63% expect the fourth pick will be a DE
CB2 (a second CB). 40% expect the sixth pick will be another CB

QB. In rankings twice, once with the fifth pick and once with the seventh pick.

So majority wise, the order right now is
CB
WR
G
DE

I could see the Vikings first three picks all coming from the same school.
Gladney
Reagor
Blacklock

all from TCU.

Skornorth has mentioned it....we have the draft capital. We don't have a QBOTF. Do you grab a QBOTF in Tua with injury and him dropping?

Most mocks show Tua going to Miami at #5. There has been some talk of the Dolphins passing on him and taking Herbert, but most consider that a smoke screen. The Vikes would have to spend a lot of draft capital to move up high enough to take him.

There is literally zero chance of Tua falling to #15. I'm not even going to bother speculating whether it would be a good move or not.

Sounds like it is going to be a tough year for rookies....this hasn't happened since 2011.

What are the odds for the teams playing before empty stadiums? At the very least don't you think that will happen?

I don't agree....how many good QBs did we have in our 15-1 year? It isn't just a QBOTF....it is a stud backup too. Same as RB.

Lynn Bowden a gadget player only with our 2nd round pick. I've always thought that the SKOR people were idiots and that just confirmed my suspicion.

Yep...worse case draft....

Don't agree at all.

I much prefer other WRs than Jefferson early third but otherwise it's fine.

Now, if you weigh them against the available players ... me no like.

I think people in here are going to like our actual draft a lot less than this one.
(No way Spielman focuses on our glaring holes the way us mockers do. CB, OL, WR in first four picks would be outstanding – there's no way that's actually happening)

However ...

Re-arrange a bit, throw out Jefferson and replace with a third rd CB and ...

CB Gladney
WR Pittman
RT Isaiah Wilson
G Robert Hunt
CB Dane Jackson (?)
DT James Lynch

Add
S K'von Wallace (4th)
WR Donovan Peoples-Jones (5th)
DE Derrek Tuszka (6th)
OG Julian Good-Jones (6th)
TE Sean McKeon (7th)
S Nigel Warrior (7th)
LB Shaun Bradley(7th)

... it's SUPER BOWL baby.

Packers did that when they had a HOFer playing every game.
They ended up with a second HOFer.

I would be very happy with Gladney and Ruiz although they are not outstanding values (higher valued prospects that drop into our laps).

Really like S Burgess ... think K'von Wallace is more of a safety (with CB experience) than CB (with safety experience).

Don't like Bowden at all. Nor Winnebagos.

More likely scenario is Tua falls to us and we trade out of our pick so some other team can draft Tua and we add a few picks.

Personally, I would stay away from WR in rounds 1 through 3. I think this WR class is way overrated. Don't really see any difference makers, and most of thee guys are just as likely to be busts. We drafted Diggs late, and Treadwell early (most "pro ready" WR wasn't even close). Remember guys like him and Doctson as "can't miss"

I watch these guys and most look like okay WRs with more downside, than upside.

This class is way more deep than top end talented IMO.
