Sano really regressed last year. Rowson saved him and helped him get a nice extension.

One of the Twins Daily writers rips the Vikings for being stuck, because of the money they invested in Cousins and what it does to the roster.

Fair enough, he's right.

A "fan" replies the Twins are stuck too, because they can't win a post season game.

And the reply:

The #MNTwins are coming off a second straight division title and one year removed from one of the best teams in franchise history.

What happens in a best of 5 Postseason series doesn’t nullify that.

They need change. They are "good enough" to win a division. And that might not be the case this coming season.

Not nearly good enough to get to the WS.

Gardy/Ryan days.

Need more than good enough.

LOL

Carr has learned the Gruden Scowl.

And it's so spot on.

Happy with division titles. WHEEEEEEEEEEE

Frickin participation trophies if you can't get any farther.

What's the goal? THey've spouted it should be the WS

anything short of that is a failure.

TwinsDaily had speculated THIS would be the trade they'd try to make

Blake Snell has been the face of the Rays in recent years, but Tampa's ace could reportedly be on the move before 2021.

Tampa is "open to the idea of trading Snell," according to MLB.com's Mark Feinsand. Snell is reportedly not being "actively shopped" but the Rays could benefit from a deal that relieves them of his contract. Snell has three years and $39 million remaining on his deal.

Snell, 27, won the American League Cy Young in 2018 as he posted a 1.89 ERA. He sports a career 3.24 ERA in 108 starts over the last five seasons, all with the Rays

That would be neat.

Hopefully wearing a Donaldson "bringer of rain shirt" while working out is a "sign" he wants to come back

1 year, $15mil
I'm sure their fans are all worried about how their owners will be able to afford it.

Great move by them

And the Twins

Or at least the fans

are thinking Odor is a great signing at that price?

Meh. He is old and was pretty bad last year. I want somebody at least as good as Maeda if we are adding a pitcher. If we are debating whether to sign someone like Morton or resign Stinky, I would just as soon throw Balazovic and Druan to the Wolves.

Meanwhile...

Derek Law

Hey everyone, my apologies, my account was hacked for a solid week but thankfully I got it back!! In other news I signed with the Minnesota Twins!! Hey
@Dobnak_
can I get a ride to spring training?

Doogie

Gets an invite to big league camp, has an opt out, gets $750K if in MLB with #MNTwins. Has plenty of MLB experience, best year was 2016 with the Giants. Numbers-wise, was one of the better N.L. relievers that year.

2016 ....

Retread work

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeee

When is it time to put those 2 into ML action?

If not this year, when?

Don't understand how other teams can do this, but the good ol' Twins keep them down forever.

Alcala took a few lumps but should be a big contributor in the pen this year.

It does actually work

STILL not developing pitching well enough.

Probably scared off by the flop in their Hope attempt late last year.

I'm sorry man, but I'm not going to get upset over every mediocre starting pitcher that signs with another team. We have enough of that type as it is. I want a top of the rotation starter. If they are not going to do that, run the kids out there who have a legitimate chance to be top of the rotation guys some day.

Spot on Ed. If other teams are asking for these guys in every trade talk then maybe it's time to get them up here. There will be growing pains to be sure, but like you said, other teams do it and seem to reap the rewards. Get them up here and let The Velocity Whisperer work his magic.

Sounds like a ploy. I think there is almost zero chance of that being collectively bargained before the start of the season.

The owners and players take longer than that to agree on what to have for lunch during bargaining sessions.

It'll be all be about $ and years for Cruz. As it is for the majority of players.

DO NOT F this up, Twins .... pay the man.

Amen. I liken this to Torii Hunter. The Twins failed to resign him because they failed to realize or appreciate his impact on the team above and beyond his stats. Don't make the same mistake as Buffet Billy.

Nelson Cruz is important for more reasons than his bat to be sure. but he's also 41 years old. Ancient in baseball terms. Sign him. give him big money, but no long contract.

Nothing wrong with that
Most lists had Snell, then Morton, so we'll see what else happens, and who else we pass on.
Like most Twins years, we'll say "there was nothing left"
Yeah, gee, that's what happens when you sit on your hands.
Say what you want about Morton, he was the reason TB went deep.
He pitched every big game for them in the playoffs, and won them.
$15 mil isn't bad for a guy who can WIN YOU PLAYOFF GAMES
Not that thats our problem .

Wait .......

Phil,
Without using Lame Stream Media sources, or Left Wing Social Media platforms,

Prove to me that the Twins were not the World Series Champions.

Because I’m here everyday and everyone in here is a Twins Fan.
Not one Dodger Fan.

MLB is rigged.

Hmmmmm,
