Apparently the days of calling players out is over.

Get them a cup of soup , a warm blanket and the TV remote to coddle them instead of acknowledging inferior performance.

STFU about owies.

It's too bad Nick Gordon turned sideways and they couldn't find him.

I was at the last home playoff game the Twins won.

All three of my kids were either in grade school or too young for school.

Two have no graduated college and been working for at least two years.

The other is a junior in college.

Lol.

Basically a generation knows nothing but losses.

I will point out the Reds haven't won a playoff game in 25 years. It's only been 16 years for the Twins.

You might want to check your math.

I could overlook injuries a lot if Buxton was a .300 hitter. He's a .238 lifetime hitter. Injuries or not, that's bad baseball where I grew up.

And the moves begin

Phil, here's one less can-dud-ate for the bullpen

The Pittsburgh Pirates have claimed Sean Poppen off waivers. #MNTwins

Right! I like a guy who can play banged up, but if you are hurt and suck because of it get off the field, someone else can do better. You're hurting yourself and the team.

Nice, got a grin from me, not quite a chuckle.

I have no faith that Gordon will be a player.

Two weeks ago Lewis and Kirilloff should have been brought up and given some games. The other lefty too (Laranach)....you know how you get guys to perform---you bring up their competition.....

Too afraid to ruffle feathers.

What I would like to see next year:

Catchers: Jeffers and Fred Garvin

1B: I would seriously shop Sano in the off season. He could bring back a good return and frankly when he slumps, he just a black hole in the batting order. I think his 1B will come around, but he still has the same terrible plate discipline, he had when he first came up. Kirilloff or Rooker would not supply as much power, but would be more consistent bats.

2B: Arraez. I would listen to offers, but I wouldn't actively shop him. Not great on defense. Not particularly fast. They do need a couple of bats like his mixed into the lineup with the power bats. Gets on base and keeps innings going.

3B: Donaldson. Not much to say here.

SS: Polanco - This year was disappointing to be sure, but I'm not ready to give up on him.

OF:
Buxton - Any plan that doesn't include him is just plain stupid

Max - same as Polanco. He regressed this year, but there is no reason to give up on him

Eddie - I have a feeling that he will be shopped. I have gone back and forth on trading him. It could turn into a careful what you wish for scenario. Better get quality if you move him.

Kirilloff / Larnach: Their bats are ready. Time to make room for them.

DH: BRING BACK CRUZ! AN ABSOLUTE MUST!!!

Bench:
Lewis - Can replace Marwin as the super utility
Gordon - Can replace Ehire.com as the light hitting utility

Bye bye - Cave, Turtle, Avila, Ehire, Marwin

Weird. I guess I can't trust the ESPN bottom line anymore.

I've been finding there are some really incredibly long dry streaks for a Lot of teams in MLB (during this post season)
Watching a lot of the playoffs. A lot.
Differing degrees, differing levels of frustrations
We aren't alone in futility., ours is just the most-recently looked at and openly embarrassing, and yeah, the worst if you have to quantify.
But there are some other pretty rancid streaks goin on
Good to know if you want to go that route. I don't. But it IS interesting

Streak, and seeing how poorly they responded is what pisses me off.

THey know. ANd they played accordingly. Can't fault the pitching. Hitting? Dang straight. The Polanco throw was what probably broke the team this postseason.

At least the non-pitchers
