He left the forum over that incident. Apparently he decided he didn't like being hacked.

Someone sent me a PM about it. He is missed in the Hockey Thread and all threads of course.

Phil, if you know anything more about him being hacked, let the administrators know. That goes for anyone here.

Another home win to make it 10 in a row....not always pretty, but still impressive.
Tonight will be a good test with the Blues coming in to town.

I know nothing but what I have heard in the threads....which is why I asked. I still know next to nothing after asking.

I think we're on a 4 day break until Monday at San Jose...
You must be looking at April's schedule.

I think it may be. This is the first game between the teams this season and now they will play 8 times in the last 28 games or something like that.

Wild are out shot 37-11, but win the game 2-0. Talbot making every save look easy and leaving no rebounds.
Johansson scores and "Kirill the Thrill" with a snipe short side over the shoulder that was a beauty.
Now 11 straight wins at home.

Crazy game to watch. This has to be a record for the lowest number of shots on goal by the winning team.

We'll take a win however we can get it, and I love that it was a shutout for Talbot.

Two really good plays on the goals. Great goal tending. The Wild can't expect to win many games outshot the way they were tonight though, but we'll all take the win.

Cannot emphasize strongly enough the difference goaltending makes. After 20 years of Manny Moments, Backs Blunders and Duby Duh-ohs, we have two legitimate #1 goalies. Guys who will win games like last night's. I guarantee you that there is no way in hell NTG steals that game for us last night.

The only way the Wild were going to win last night was an effective counter punching game. They were gassed after playing a lot of games in not that many days. The scoring chances were going to be limited to counter strikes, which meant the goalie was going to have to be rock solid. To the Wild's credit, they kept the Blues to the perimeter of the zone, most of the time. For all the shots and zone time, the Blues didn't get a lot of great scoring chances. Talbot made all the saves, gave up very few rebounds and those few rebounds invariably got swept out to the boards. Dubes would have cracked in the first period and had us playing behind.

Like I said, you can't emphasize enough how strong goaltending transforms a team.

I haven't dug into the stats to back it up but it seems like the Wild get outshot in every single game for several years.

Good stuff Sweens.
Our team Defense was really good, along with Talbot.
I actually enjoyed watching Dumba out there for a change.

Dumba's game has taken a decided step forward this year. That's a big thing. The Wild have a lot of payroll tied up on the blue line, so it's nice to see that level of performance. In the next couple of years, somethings gotta give on defense. Teams just don't carry that much money on the books at that position. It would be nice to get out from under Suter's contract.

I would like to see Suter wave his no-trade/no-move clause so they can protect Dumba. The Krackens aren't likely to want a 36 yr old D-man.
What the hell kind of name is Kraken? I think I will just call them the Krackheads.

Got a point but it was a pretty 'meh' game. We, somehow, didn't have our legs.

I didn't see the game, but it sounds like it was a pretty underwhelming performance.
I guess a getting a point is better than nothing.

They dominated us but we had some really nice moments and capitalized. The Sharks are pretty mediocre to lousy and they outplayed us the whole game. Even in the shootout it seemed like we mailed it in. The only good part is that Evanson didn't trot out a SO lineup of

Plett
Suter
Boogard
Simon
McRae

You mean you don't miss Mikko's patented top shelf backhand?
