Bonino has really grown on me too. Knew he was a "locker room" signing but thought "meh" at the time. He's really good for this team.

Matthew Boldy update. GP 5 / G 3 / Pts 5 / +/- +1.

The only downside is that he has been playing LW and not center.

Yeap. 100%. Dubs Wild loses that 4-1. Talbot Wild fights through it to turn that around. Let’s be honest. They were much better

Yes, the Zony Yotes were better, but that was partially because they were playing from desperation.

We had a couple of moments of puck luck (the double post hit behind Talbot's head, and Fiala's goal that only got through the crease because the defender lifted his legs while he skidded prone across the ice). But I'll take the good luck to balance off some bad luck days we've had.

Take the two points and smile. And then move on to the next game.

Missed the first period last night but looks like our Goalie was the bright star last night with special K right there.

I'm a little behind real time, but since I see no one else posting, that was an incredible move by Special K to deke the D and score the first goal tonight.

He left Mikey Anderson shaking his head after that move. Kirill is so talented he makes moves like that look easy.

It's taken Kap forty some games to become the best Wild player of all time.

Can we please stop making Talbot make 40 saves a game?

Yep - we're asking too much of Talbot. That first period was ridiculous.

But, having said that - what a fun team to watch! We've had a couple of stinker games, but overall you just can't help going into a game feeling like they're the favored team. As a lifelong Minnesota sports fan, I'm not sure how to process that.

And it's so nice reading quotes from players, like recently, Ian Cole and Ryan Hartman, who say they really want to play here.

Talbot is making a lot of saves every game, but when you watch the game you notice how at least half of those 40 saves are from way out or bad angles and all he has to do is make an easy save.
With NTG I always had to cringe when shots like that were being taken, but Talbot always calmly catches them or guides them into the corner. Shots on goal can be very a deceiving stat. How many times over the years have we out shot our opponent and been out scored? The reason that happened was because we were taking shots from the outside and now we are taking most of our shots from close in.....and scoring a lot more.

We are building something here with a new young core of guys that are all in.
Has that ever happened with the Wild before?
When you see quality guys like Hartman taking less money for a chance to stay says a lot about the culture BG is building here.
It's looking more and more like we are in for a fun ride with the Wild over the next few years and more.

The last couple of games we just flout out got outplayed.

No surprise, but officially playoff bound.

Only team that really scares me is Colorado.

LV is a pretty even match, I'd rather have them in the 1st round than Colorado.

Current standings are:
Golden Knights 47 34 11 2 70
Avalanche 45 31 10 4 66
Wild 47 31 13 3 65
Avs have slipped some recently, but I agree, we don't seem to match up as well against them as we do with Vegas.
If Colorado loses a few more and we keep rolling maybe we fair better with home ice advantage.
That needs to be our next goal.

The difference now is we have the scorers, glue guys, defense, and goaltending. Going to be a force in the playoffs.

We have had two of those four in our best years a couple years back.

It will really make you wish they didn't sign Parise and Suter for a decade plus. They would have a lot more player flexibility.

The young guys are fun to watch.

Yes Parise and Suter but those two started at least getting in the playoffs....Hartman, Bonino, Bugstad, Foligno, playing Sturm, finally realizing Dubes/Stalock wasn't going to get it done....special K, Fiala, just a train moving in the right direction.

It's hard to believe Parise and Suter are still under contract for 3 years after this one. Let's see them be leaders, step up for the team and waive their NMC's for the expansion draft. Nobody will take on their cap hits and that will allow the Wild to protect more players for the draft.

So you think Parise wants to get moved now....lol

You can add him being demoted to 4th line and the coaching changes also as moves made in the right direction.
