I like EEK!! Because it's kinda funny.

Eker is good too, more serious, except that it rhymes with Pecker, and Pecker-head, which is prolly what the opposing
teams call him after they've played against him.

My kids used to watch a Saturday morning cartoon called EEK the Cat.

An underwhelming performance last night in a 0-4 lose to the Blues.....
If the Avs win tonight we go to Vegas, if they lose we go to Colorado.....doesn't matter what we do tonight.
Will tonight be the last time we see Zach this season? Or in a Wild uniform for that matter?
I view this playoff season as a time for some young guys to get a taste and see what it takes. Just making the playoffs this year has already exceeded my expectations for this team.
Go Wild!!

Man, our D can skate, move the puck and score with the best of em'. But they sucked last night at net front D and backside coverage

That's because net front and backside coverage requires more than a poke check coverage.
We have great skating D but still nobody that can dominate physically in front of the net.
I hope Guerin has that on his to do list.

I'll disagree on that point. Cole and Soucey have been pretty good at it all year.

it's not just our D either. Our wingers get lazy at times and too far up the boards waiting for a quick breakout. Fiala was guilty of it for one of theirs last night.

Agreed, they have been pretty good. I still would love to have a big dominant D-man to make guys like MacKinnon think twice before trying to fly in to our goal mouth area unmolested.

I still kind of hope the Avs lose tonight so we get to meet them right off the bat.
They will come out with all kinds of swagger, as they should, but I think that could also be their downfall.
They don't have that great of goal tending and if we can get on a roll offensively we can keep pace with them.

Game 1 ends regulation time 0-0 in a goalie dual. Time to get a goal in OT to steal this one on the road.

Eker gets the OT goal to take game 1!
Parked in front like usual and we finally get one past Fluery.
One heck of a fun game to watch for a 1 goal game.

EKKKKKKERRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!
PUT
HIM
ON
#1
LINE
EVASON!!!!
5 on 5 and PP
Kirill and Zucs need #14’s big body/ grit and skill to create some space.
Especially in playoffs.
Sweens mentioned it at beginning of season, and it’s even
more needed in playoffs.
C’mon Dean!
Great game by Talbot to give us a chance.
1st period they were all over us.

We started out real slowly and if it wasn't for Talbot keeping us in it the first period we could have been in trouble.
I was real happy going into the first intermission tied at 0-0.
We finally started finding our game in the 2nd period and got better as the game went on.
Hartman could have had a hat trick if Fleury wasn't on his game.....dude is amazing for a 36 year old.
I don't think Dean is going to mess with the lines unless somebody gets hurt.
Our 4th line still getting minutes in big spots and doing a good job, have to like that.

Love that good guy Dom Moore called it before OT. DB Sparpe tried to jack us, as fans, by that shit eating grin as he said Tuch would end it.

Love it. The game included 128 hits and a team record 71 of those were dished out by the Wild. They weren't just hitting back. They were hitting first.

Hell, even Spurgeon put a shoulder into Reaves. He bounced off and fell down, but he at least slowed him down, LOL.
When your captain is the smallest guy on the team and he takes on their biggest guy it had to fire up the bench. Loved it!

This!
And team D JJ mentioned: stick effort and blocked shots was tremendous!
ST, I don’t think EK will be moved between Zucs and Kirill either.
Just wishing upon a star. 🙏🤷‍♂️

Maybe next season when we have Rossi to take his spot between Foligno and Greenway.

Nice to have a goalie out perform Fluery.

Greenway made a great play falling down to get that puck to Ek on the game winner.

I actually feel kind of sad that Zach had to watch from the press box. Whatever else you want to say about the guy, he never cheated the fans on effort. I can't imagine a scenario where he's back next year.

Hartman or Bonino would be fine there too.
