ORIGINAL: David F. David Decastro just got released by the Steelers. Would be a worthwhile pickup - but then what would we do with either Cleveland or Davis? What if either or both get hurt. Or let Davis marinade on the bench for a season. Vs being thin on the IOL and having Dozier,Samia,or Cole to play If he's healthy, absolutely go get him. Wyatt and/or Cleveland can watch and learn. Injuries happen, so be ready. That said, I'm not sure he's entirely healthy: https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/06/24/steelers-release-david-decastro-with-nfi-designation/ I just don't think our O-line is guaranteed to be much better next year as is. Likely downgrade at LT (rookies are rarely 'good' right away), upgrade at LG (same concern about the rookie not being good, but hard to be as bad as Dozier). So then you're relying on improvement from Bradbury and Cleveland. A 2 year disappointment and a guy playing at a spot that's not a natural position for him. OL depth and a 3rd WR are probably our biggest needs. We could use a pro bowl vet in the oline room. As constructed this line is really young. we need another playable guard...don't keep samia or dozier....
