Twins announce Brent Rooker has been optioned, and Brandon Waddell and Derek Law have been re-assigned to minor league camp. The 26-man roster is set.

None of ST mattered for some. Law and Waddell out-pitched Stashak

The big 3 outfield prospects go 0-3 in making the 26-man roster.

Staying with the guys Rocco is comfy with >>>> performances for some. Broxton had a better spring than Cave, got optioned earlier.

Garlick and Cave in LF is soo awesome.

Derek Law got screwed. Completely

8 innings 3 hits no runs 3bb 13k

and they kept stashak

40-man roster spots outweigh good performances.

Not as excited about our OF as I was last year or expected to be this year. Garlick instead of Rosario? Cave still one of our top 4?
No Rooker? How soon do we see Kirilloff? Will Kepler pick up his offense?

Good Questions

This outfield platoon?

Bleh

Kepler is headed to bust status. Unable to adjust. Rowson's magic has faded and the current "experts" haven't shown the ability to improve hitters.

This organization is afraid to try rookies or young players.

Why is Parsley Flakes getting the roster spot in stead of Rooker? Please tell me
I get Kiriloff, making Mario Mendoza look like Ted Williams this spring, but Rooker makes no sense at all, He can rake play LF, RF or 1B and DH, Rubbed Sage is an OF that got put on waivers by another team he was so ****ing good.

Afraid of young players making mistakes....well here's the thing. Veterans make mistakes and mistakes are a good thing if you learn from them.

What more could Rooker learn at AAA?

**** this team makes no damn sense.

If they were afraid to try young players, they wouldn't have called Rooker up last year or Kirilloff during the playoffs. They're just f***ing cheap. Kirilloff and Rooker will, no doubt make appearances once their service time won't be an issue.

Garlick will be like so many other spring training wonder boys before him. They feast on the glut of minor league and fringe major league pitchers they see in the first half of spring training and pad their numbers in a big way. He will hit .200 to .250 and stick around longer than he should.

The only young guy that sort of developed, because they really had no choice, was the catcher Jeffers.

And now they keep Turtle as the third catcher/utility guy.

Not sure he and Arraez are going to make fans happy, or ask for the return of e-hire and Marwin.

I honestly think Arraez is the best option in LF if they are determined to wait for everyone's service time clock to expire.

And Arraez on cue started in LF

Only one with a hit vs Pirates' nobodies. SMH. The offense is atrocious and has been from the beginning of ST.

And those that paid foolish money on ST get screwed again. Game called after 7 1-1 draw with a whopping 3 total hits

Dobnak in the bullpen with 2 shutout innings, Robles had a decent 2K clean inning to finish ST with a 4.91 ERA

The kids need more seasoning than Garlick does.

Reading Scoggins take on the Twins bullpen reminds me of the adage that hope is not a strategy.

https://www.startribune.com/will-twins-bullpen-makeover-work-we-ll-know-almost-immediately/600040389/

They HOPE Rogers will regain his 2019 form.
They HOPE that Wes Johnson can straighten out Gretel.
They HOPE that Tyler Duffy getting six kinds of dog manure kicked out of him all through ST was an aberration.

Agreed.

Rogers/Robles were up and down in ST. Duffey was horrible.

That's 3 big pieces they're hoping to have work.

Just a SMH offseason for them. Happ and Shoemaker are WTF signings to me. Falvine around for multiple years, still haven't developed any pitching from the system, and the position players can't crack a roster that features a Braves throw-away, Jake Cave and a mascot that is the cute/funny guy on the team.

Reusse picks them to win 85 games. Would not surprise me at all.

Seem a lot like the Molitor meh year. Too comfy atmosphere with underwhelming seasons from players.

Twins were among the worst batting average and the worst on-base percentage of all teams this spring.

Red Flag.

Sano struck out 47% of the time in ST. 2020 approach still doesn't work in 2021.

Not a single regular season game has been played yet and this board has already called off the season.

Why am I not surprised

It's easy to come in and make fun of opinions without giving your own.

Have fun with that.

This board is dying with the lack of posts. IDK the reasons for not being on here by others.

Maybe it's too negative. I can always rant at them without posting an opinion in here.

I won't splash around in unicorn dreams of wonder-ball and homer-ism until this franchise does more than whimper out of the postseason.

They didn't do enough this year either. And there are many who think standing pat is a-ok. Not with me.

Dakota Dozier, statistically one of the worst-rated o-lineman all year is re-signed. Rejoice!!

Management is messed up.
