With all the crime in Minneapolis under Frey's "watch", shouldn't be that much of a leap.

Yeah, I don't know what to say about that - sad

Actually, I never bitched about the masks, just used the example to point out hypocrisy

Not that it matters until after next weekend's games but right now we would draft at 12

Ifn we lose to the Bears and Denver and Washington and Atlanta all win (not likely I know) we can move into the top 10.

Right now the Giants and Jets both have two top ten picks because of trades.

I'm not as worried about the number we pick, as I am the guy we pick.

Yeah, stay married just bc your future spouse is not immediately identifiable.

Look, if the new GM/coach want to work with Cousins and he's willing to do something besides wrecking our cap...I'll listen.

I put more of the blame for our failures on Zimmer 1st, Spielman 2nd.

supposedly, the wilfs and co. had a big pow-wow regarding the postseason and future of the vikings last night....

Zimmer owns a 71-56-1 career record with the Vikings. Minnesota just clinched its first back-to-back nonplayoff season under the 65-year-old. A loss Sunday against Chicago would mark the first time in Zimmer's tenure his club has suffered 10 defeats in a season.

"Regardless of anything that goes on after the season, I can stand proud,'' Zimmer said, via the St. Paul Pioneer Press. "When I walk into a stadium like Lambeau (Field) or I walk into U.S. Bank Stadium and I say to myself, 'A billion people would love to be sitting here right now and doing this job."'

The coach noted that speculation about his job comes with working in the NFL.

"I do think it's different that people can talk about your job and being let go and things like that and not understanding the effects of all your coaches, effects of all the players, effects of their families and they say it after you lose every week,'' Zimmer said. "So they don't go around saying they should fire that doctor or fire that landscape guy or anything like that. So it's just part of the business, I guess."

Good response.

Make your decisions ... move forward. If you are stuck with Plan B Cousins for a year because of the insane contract ... okay, you can do a lot worse as a stopgap.

There's a big difference between planning your franchise around Plan B Cousins and using Plan B Cousins (for a year) to move your franchise forward.

Might need to suffer one more year of cap hell and terrible leadership of the almighty Cousins.

I had heard the QB class this year is pretty weak.

doesn't mean a good one can't be had but your not going to find him in the first round.

If you draft one in the first round you could be doing a reach of Christian Ponder preportions.

Trade for Carr, Minshew or Huntley. If our new regime likes one of the QB's in the draft, add another and we still don't know about Mond. Many more options than just the names above.

Any list should also include Cousins $45 million cap hit too.

For my money ... since we can't really know where they had Ponder pegged in the draft ...

The sin was not in the drafting ... the sin was in the not being honest with your evaluation in year two, three and four.

Spielman is middle of the pack as far GM drafting but he seems low end to me, in terms of recognizing and moving on from bad draft picks.

Well, then your parents didn't do it right. One of them needed to become a trucker. Leave on Sunday afternoon, get back home on Friday night, sleep till Saturday afternoon, repeat ....

He was the head coach of a team that was a dumpster fire and took them to a Super Bowl. He wasn't scared one bit in dumping his QB and putting in an unknown when he thought he was better. He was an NFL QB, he knows what it takes and what doesn't cut it.

I doubt the Vikings can do better, if so who?
