I think the Vikings effed up and should have taken mills over mond. I’ve seen one game and now I feel that way.

There. I figure if people are going to claim something happened the least I can do is put something out there that looks like what they’re claiming. You’re welcome.

Oh yeah I almost forgot, we should trade for mills. Somewhere in the ballpark of two high picks should do.

Saying you want to give up two high picks is simply a knee-jerk reaction ...

I thought Mills looked good given the situation ... and that's about all you can say. He wasn't completely overwhelmed or incompetent.

Chances are neither he nor Mond are going to get anything close to a strong starting caliber QB.

Use the high picks to move up for someone with an outside chance to be good next draft ... not for someone to replace our #3 Mond with another #3 (because nobody is going to hurdle the big brain on Mannion with Spiels in charge).

we elevated dozier and cut brandel...presently we have three o-tackles on the roster 53 - o'neill, hill, and darrisaw - darrisaw is listed as out for the seattle game...is this just another phuck-up by zimmer/spielman?....

The team has announced that they have once again signed running back Ameer Abdullah to the 53-man roster. After being released as part of the team’s final cuts, Abdullah has been on the Vikings’ active roster for all three of their games this year. He was “elevated” from the practice squad before the opener and now has been signed to the 53 for each of the past two weeks.

To make room for Abdullah on the roster, the team waived offensive tackle Blake Brandel. Brandel was serving as the swing tackle with Rashod Hill starting at left tackle because of Christian Darrisaw’s injury. The move leaves the Vikings without a designated backup tackle for Hill or Brian O’Neill, though both Ezra Cleveland and Oli Udoh could potentially play tackle in a pinch.

This may also seem to indicate that Darrisaw is finally close to taking the field, which would make Hill the swing tackle starting next week.

The team has also elevated guard Dakota Dozier and cornerback Parry Nickerson to the active roster from the practice squad.

Looks like Dalvin Cook is unlikely to play today.

the vikings like to go into games with three rb's...they only brought up Abdullah, which would leave them with two rb's - some feel that is a nod that cook won't be scratched....

From Rotoworld

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Dalvin Cook (ankle) is "unlikely" to play in Week 3 against the Seahawks.
Cook sat out practice for the entire week before getting listed as questionable by Minnesota. There's still a chance things turn around in warmups but fantasy managers can pull Cook out of their lineups now, knowing that even if he does play, Cook will be extremely limited. Alexander Mattison is the next man up. Mattison saw 31 carries and five targets in his two starts last year. If he sees that volume again today, he'll be in line for low-end RB1 numbers versus Seattle.

If an ankle isn't 100% what's the point? I wouldn't count on anything spectacular, or better than the back up if he does play ...

i think it's one of old zim's game-day tricks...keep'em guessing, and hopefully, unprepared...he can't time-manage a 2-minute offense/defense, but he's a hell of a trickster....

Keep them guessing... Will it be first-down runs with Cook or Mattison? Will they run on second and 10 with Cook or Mattison? Will the draw on third and nine be with Cook or Mattison? I can see where this would drive opposing coaches to distraction....

Yep.. get a lead.. one point.. protect that lead by playing soft zone coverage, and “ keep everything in front of you”,

Huge win considering the opponent that we never beat and doing it without Cook.
Cousins continues his consistent and good play as well.

Zimmer needs to admit his defense isn’t good and trust the offense to pile up points.

You boys are picking an odd time to get negative on the defense. I mean with them shutting out Wilson and Seattle the 2nd half today.

Great win today. Kirk was decisive and getting rid of the ball quickly. Mattison is a beast at times.
Amazingly the D gave up 17 to the QB who says that God speaks directly to him. Greg Joseph
didn't seem to be broken after last weeks miss. Maybe there's something to not throwing a guy
under the bus or cutting him immediately after a big miss or bad day. Is Sherels still available
for punt return duties? Lets go Niners. Pack the fudge

Y’all are lucky I went to bed with the score @ 17-7 seahags…

Our defense was getting gashed over the top, and inside.

Breeland was horrific, and Westbrook is a clueless doink, on punt returns.

I wasn’t in the mood to watch what looked like a beat down at home in a must win situation.

I thought the offense was on point, play calling was ok too.

Not as predictable..

But the defense? O. M. G….

I seriously thought Seattle was going to put up at least 30 pts.

How we shut them out after I went to bed will be a mystery I can only resolve by watching a replay.

Good win and Cousins, finally looks like he deserves some of that lettuce we have feathered his nest with.

After giving up 17 fast points the vikes basically played a perfect game. Was great to see it.

Dan, is there any chance that you can sleep through the rest of the Vikings games this year?
I'd be happy to send you a case of Sominex if you need.

Only got to see bits and pieces of the game today... I get to see the full thing after 11EST and am excited to see 2nd half.

Hope the Niners can take down the Pack.

Oh yeah, anyone still clamoring for Fields... the bears staff might have been smart for thinking about having him sit for a year.
