How’s that Strib projection of the final 53 working out, Rick.

I said no, to your question, because I Know better than to try and out guess a new coach and GM based on 1 draft and three crappy Preseason games, and I am a curmudgeon…

Well, i figured it was one of those reasons ;/
And i get it. Am i supposed to know if they are keeping 4 rb, 6 wr?
The only play ive seen so far this year was an incredible punt that i hope gets repeated a few times. And im assuming this guy held for an unrecognized team record 58 yd fg.

confirm, he was holding

I know you guys are very busy covering every possible pick we could get for our back-up running back but if you could take a second to confirm whether 66 is the holder or not Id appreciate it - I can't tell if Doc knows the answer to this question or not

Is R. Wright #66? If so, then confirmed, he was holding.

Thank you.

What cost Rick Spielman his job wasn't the Kirk Cousins contract. It was was his inability to draft starters on rookie deals to offset Cousins' contract.

The #Vikings are waiving QB Kellen Mond, per source.

A third-round pick out of Texas A&M in 2021, Mond had a lot of fans in the pre-draft process. But he struggled in preseason action and Minnesota's new regime traded for Nick Mullens recently. Now, Mond heads to waivers.

BREAKING NEWS:

QB Kelly Mond has been waived. If he clears waivers, he likely goes to the Vikings practice squad (so says NFL expert Paul Allen).

The #Vikings should put in a waiver claim for Minneapolis native Tyler Johnson. He’d likely be an upgrade over Jalen Nailor at WR5.

Field Yates@FieldYates
A sign of how a new regime can change things: amongst the reported Vikings cuts this morning are three players drafted in the first 4 rounds in 2021:

66th overall: QB Kellen Mond
78th overall: LB Chazz Surratt
134th overall: DE Janarius Robinson

Will Ragatz@WillRagatz
Every carry from #Vikings RB Ty Chandler's rookie preseason (15 carries, 113 yards, 7.5 YPC, 1 TD).

70 of his yards came after contact. Small sample size, but the elusiveness and vision are exciting.

Vikes@vikesinsider
#Vikings cut tracker, Aug 30th (10am):

QB Kellen Mond
WR Trishton Jackson
WR Myron Mitchell
C Josh Sokol
OT Timon Paris
EDGE Janarius Robinson
LB Chazz Surratt
CB Tye Smith

Nobody in the NFL sees Mattison as a lead RB. He's nice, but not remotely special.

Mattison could be lead back on half the teams in the NFL right now. So if 50% of all teams is nobody then I think you're right.

Both Mitchell and Jackson cut. I guess that means Chisena is making the team.

If Mannion, Jesse Davis, and Bradbury are on this roster for the Packers game, I will be pissed. I know that is a supercolossal weight for everybody to bear ...

There has to be someone out there, a C/G type to compete with / backup Reed, eject Bradbury, make Jesse expendable, add insurance for Ingram. Use Mannion ...

There has to be a young QB prospect that KOC feels may have developmental potential to replace Mannion on the roster.

The starting offense is so close to having no weak links ...

Maybe Mullens is giving them the Sloter dead fisheye look when they explain things.

I do like the new backup QB we got. Word is he's similar in style to Casey Kennum.

Yeah, that is annoying. Why wouldn't someone acknowledge happy birthday wishes? Karl did the same thing a few weeks ago.
