Ok, admittedly, I’ve not watched Fleury much. How is a guy that gets chased every other time we play him be a lock for the HOF? 😀 worst nickname in sports too

Never done this before but bumping myself as I've never really been spot on before

We are in his head big time. If he ever has a chance to play us again I bet he pulls a Marty and hurts himself to save the embarrassment.

I wish I could find a stat on how many times he's been chased by team. It's not just his play for the Hawks. We chased him several times with Vegas too. Obviously didn't see him much in Pittsburgh.

Dumbo got placed on injured reserve. This should make our goalies lives a little easier. I couldn't believe how much cleaner we played in the defensive zone against Chicago without him. Guerin and Evason are really astute judges, but seem to have a real blind spot where Dumbo is concerned.

Part of the clean zone exits is the fact that we were playing a bad team in Chicago. But, I agree that Dumba seems to have 2 or 3 bad decisions a game that our goalies have to cover for.

Wild played a stinker last night and got shutout for the first time this season by Winnipeg.
Hellebuyck left plenty of rebounds for us, but nobody was in front to take advantage. The one time we had someone there Hartman hit the side of the net instead of in it on one he normally scores on.
As usual plenty of physical play against them, but other than Kaapo we didn't really play a very good game. Back in the Duby days it would have been a blowout, but Kaapo played great and kept it close.....just no magic at the end this time.

Glad I missed it. Sounded like a pretty lack luster effort.

Yeah, terrible game. I honestly thought Dean was gonna jump the ref after Faligno got run in the first. Damn that dude is intense.

Two game suspension for Foligno. Ridiculous.

In a related thought, how is Marchand even still allowed to play in the NHL after, what, seven suspensions over the years?

Wild take it in the ass from the league again. The Jets player and coach both said it was no big deal. The league tells the Wild to bend over and grab their ankles.

And the best part is that his first game back after the suspension will be in Winnipeg. You know they will be making runs at him all game long. Hopefully Foligno just turns his back on them and plays hockey instead of engaging them.

... unless he appeals the suspension, which means he can continue to play until the appeal is decided. If they uphold the suspension, the Winnipeg game might be one he'd miss.

I saw Benn blow a tire on his first shift and thought damn.....not a good way to start.
We then left the restaurant and I missed about 10 minutes, by then it was 2-2. Had to wait for the recap to see what I missed, but by then it was looking like we were finding our game.
I like that we seem to be better at beating the teams we should than we have been in the past.
A game every other day from here on out.....keep it rolling!

You actually missed a lot. After Benn caught an edge we blew 2 break aways and were suddenly down 2-0. It looked like one of those nights.

As soon as we were down we were tied and took control. At one point I think it was 5-2 and Carter was talking about a “touchdown “ on the board.

Good offense, blah D, penalties and an off night for Kap. The Avs would have crushed us.

Michael Russo@RussoHockey“I feel close,” says Bjugstad, who sustained a gruesome finger injury at the hands of Zuccarello in practice last month.

I just checked the standings. 7 teams in the NHL have more points than us and every one of those teams has played more games than us. We have a very good team.

Good thing we weren't playing the Avs.

Jets seem to have our number recently.
Talbot not looking very good to me. He seems to be struggling to handle shots and control rebounds.

Wild waited until they were down 4-1 to finally start skating, but it's going to be too little too late.
Talbot not up to the task on a break away by Conner....now 5-2 with 9 minutes left.
Say what you want about Dumba, when he is out we miss his play.

If we play like we did last night against the Panthers tomorrow we are going to get smoked big time.
We need a day to forget that Jets game and a big rebound game tomorrow.

Is Addison in Iowa because of $$?

Sure would like to sit Benn (or Merrill) for him.
But mostly Benn

Agree, Talbot looks shaky lately...
