Our hotel room was literally 50 feet from Wells Fargo Arena. This was taken from our hotel window.

At least the ST’s have gotten a bit better. Giving up shit goals and then bad ST’s is a recipe for a sweep.

He is breaking out in a big way, but this won't get him to $9M

No offense man but somebody’s that willing. We did it KK because we needed some “hope”. He offers that now for other franchises.

I know I've heard fans in COLLEGE games doing the {the other team's goalie} sucks chant, but in the pros? What a bunch of maroons.

Either way (we sign or trade) he gave us extreme value....great trade to get him.

Looking over Fiala's season, I forgot that he had no line mates of any consequence until Boldy got called up in January. In the first three months, Fiala's numbers were 6 goals and 14 assists. In the four months since Boldy got called up, Fiala has racked up 27 goals and 37 assists. Over the same span Kaprizov has 33 goals and 34 assists. Since January, Fiala has matched Kaprizov almost point for point.

Bottom line is that he has to be resigned. I would move either Dumbo (preferably) or even Spurgeon to make that happen. Even if it means a second $9 million man.

I don't think they can move Spurgeon due to years left on contract. I think Dumba and Talbot gives us some room...then there is Zuccarello but you have to find KK another linemate.

Kukilov/Jost/Talbot combo would do it also.

Not sure if the NHL allows this but say a nice signing bonus and a smaller contract in 22-23, 23-24, 24-25 then 10 or 12 million in 25-26 to get to 8-9 per year?

I have to give a hard no on Zuccs. His chemistry with KK has been incredible since day one. I'm not willing to disrupt that. I want to build on the KK Zuccs and Fiala Boldy combos.

I have no issues with keeping him...Zucc is also just one more year....Maybe Rossi (long term replacement)?

Agree. Don't disrupt those combos but we gotta sign him. He's young and puts up incredible numbers. Hard to find that.

Lynn, great seats! Did you notice Rossi out there and if so, how'd he look? I made a post about a month or 2 ago that they were on TV so I watched and he was invisible. Was/am hoping he just had an off game that day.

+1 thanks for the pics Lynn.

I have thought to go to a Minor League Hockey (and the St. Paul Saints).

Seems to be easier and a great game.

Jeff - from the seats we had, as great as it was to be right on the glass - the downside is that you can't get a good view of the expanse of the game. So it was hard for me to actually focus on any specific players, which was my stated goal. For two periods we had a really good look at our own goalie, McIntyre, and I thought he was really on top of things, but I was disappointed that I couldn't zone in on any other specific player much.

We agreed we had a good time being right up by the ice, but would never again buy those seats for that very reason - you can't really see the game in its entirety.

Spurgeon just signed a big contract extension with 5 years left on it, so it won't be him. It will be Dumba I would think.
