Unbelievable comeback!

And for Ek to tie it with a minute left and then win it in OT??

You just can’t write that stuff

Down 5-3 half way through the 3rd I'm thinking game over. How often do teams come back from that? We could have a special team.

The only real negative I have about last night was that Talbot was in full on Dubnyk mode. SMF thought his angles were off, but there was also some element of the Jets being really good at squeezing every inch out of their shooting windows. I just thought he was God awful. Aside from the big OT save that triggered the winning rush.

Agreed.
Found myself hoping we don’t get stupid with any more back-to-back
Overloads on Cam this year.
Why? Kaapo needs some reps.
Not smart, IMO.

I think the only reason he got a back to back in Cali was because he missed his last preseason tune up due to a family emergency and needed the work. I agree that he wasn't at his best Tuesday night and we will need him to be better for sure. We really need to see Kaapo get one of the starts this weekend. It's not fair or smart to make him sit over 2 weeks at a time between starts. Doing that almost guarantees a rusty goalie when he does play.

Totes agree!

Damn, this team is making sure we have to watch the entire game. Another OT win, this time 4-3 with Hartman getting the game winner.
We sure have been starting out slow, but I guess when you play 2 games and then get 4 days off it's hard to get into any kind of groove.
Kirill had a tough game today with 2 penalties and still no goals yet this year. If every team is going to target him like the Ducks have been he's going to have to learn to work through it.

I love Hartman's interview after the game talking with Gorg. He says, "yeah I had fresh legs and thanks to you guys I knew when to shoot." Kidding the crowd..... LOL

A couple of thoughts after last nights game.
Guadreau is a keeper and fits well with Fiala.
After shacking up the lines last night it was very evident that Rask holds back any line he's on....
It's time for Kaapo to get some games.
It's also time for us to see what Pitlick can do with Fiala and Gaudrau....

It was blacked out for me so can’t comment on this particular one. That being said, 2 things stand out.

We are 4-0 with our 2 best players being bystanders. That’s a good sign.

Do we miss Suter 😳. 15 goals in 4 games is not a good thing.

I would say it's more of a combined Suter, Cole, and Soucy than it is just Suter.
That being said, I think our D will be just fine as the new combos play more together. And, I don't think Talbot has been at his best yet, but has been good enough so far.

A big chunk of that is Talbot. All 5 goals against the Jets were terrible. He let at least one stinker in yesterday.

Big surprise, Kaapo not sharp to start the game and doesn't get any help from the guys taking 2 penalties leading to a 2-0 lead for the Preds only 10 minutes in.

First period was the worst period of hockey they have played this year.
Not moving their feet and reaching with their sticks instead, leading to penalties.
I was expecting Kaapo to look rusty, but the guys are hanging him out to dry so far.

Agree man. Why couldn’t this have been blacked out 😳. Just ugly all around and we give up another 5. We better get our defensive shit together or this season could turn ugly.

This wasn’t anything fancy. This was “I’ll skate in and skate by 3 guys as I enter the zone, shoot a savable shot to make it 3-0” type of a night.

UGH-LEE! This wasn't a team tired from back to backs. The Wild just didn't show up. Usually the fatigue from playing back to backs shows up in the 3rd period of the second game. Yesterday, the Wild just looked disinterested from the start. After hyping the new attitude Wild, this was a major disappointment.

Stfrank is right. If you're going to make Kaapo sit for 2 weeks before he finally gets a game, don't be surprise when his timing and angles are off. This was further complicated by getting absolutely no help from the guys in front of him. I like Evason a lot, but sometimes he makes personnel decisions that leave you shaking your head.

Stfrank is also right about Rask. It doesn't matter what line you put him on. The man is just a boat anchor.

You know, maybe Kaprisov could have benefited from being part of preseason. Maybe he owes some of his salary back for failing to be ready for the season?

He was here for all of training camp and preseason.
He is reported to be the best conditioned player on the team.
He is averaging a point a game, including setting up Ek for an OT winner.
He has a bullseye on his back every time he steps on the ice. Pretty much has a goon taking a run at him on every shift.

There is nothing to indicate that he wasn't. More to the point, there is nothing wrong with how Kaprizov is playing. He is the focal point of every team's game plan and he is still averaging a point a game.

I agree with TJSweens on this one. KK is getting targeted by every team and he is learning he can't just skate and dangle in the NHL like he would like to. He will take his lumps and learn from it and become even better as time goes on. In the mean time, even though he is struggling and trying to do too much, he is still helping this team win games. The game against Nashville was just a bad game by the entire team, and that happens some times. I suspect we see a much better effort in Vancouver tonight. I'm not too worried about Kirill and suspect once he gets the first one, the pressure will be off and he will get many more this season.

Kaprizov-Eriksson Ek-Zuccarello
Greenway-Hartman-Foligno
Fiala-Gaudreau-Bjugstad

Looks like Rem Pitlick will make his Wild debut and Victor Rask will be scratched vs. #canucks

I'm really sick of Fiala getting saddled with the left overs. Right now he is playing with a center who has 6 goals scattered over a 5 year career. Why not put him with Hartman and Foligno? You can't tell me those two would miss Greenway.

I think you have something there. Greenway will be the next one in the press box if he doesn't pick up his game. So far he has been a passenger on that line. Moving Fiala up with Hartman and Foligno would make that a true #2 line and our bottom 2 lines would be pretty even with that change.
