These guys

You can say all you want, they never give up. What a win.

Damn! All I can do is read recaps right now. Haven't figured out how to get Wild games down here yet.

It's like Jeff said after the last one.; giving up a bunch of goals, tying late and winning in OT is not sustainable.

You order the NHL package.

Make sure you fill us in on the experience of going down there to watch the Iowa Wild play.
I have been thinking that might be a fun weekend trip.

I definitely will! The hotel is about 400 feet from the arena, so it's not like we even will have to fight for a parking spot. Just walk!

Oh yeah!
That sounds ideal.
Have a drink (maybe two) pre-game with no worries.
Have fun!

Fiala with an incredible goal batted out of mid-air in the weirdest way I think I've seen.

Dominated the Coyotes like the dogs they are. Nice to win one comfortably for once.

Great hand to eye and stick control on that one.

Sheepish update here. Upthread I said that the opponent for the December 18th game we are going to are the Colorado Eagles. I have no idea, looking back, how I came upon that. It's actually the Manitoba Moose.

I can't be trusted to relay any important news, apparently.

As for last night's Wild game, wasn't it nice and relaxing to feel, pretty much throughout the entire game, that we had a win? We've had so many nail-biters, and overtime games, that to just spend the entire 2nd and 3rd periods pretty darn sure that we had a win was nice.

Part of the relaxation, for me, came when I heard that the Coyotes had just won a game a day or two before. When it looked like they were coming into our game with 11 straight losses, there was just this Minnesota-Sports-Fan side of me that thought that it would be so typical of our team to hand a losing program their first win. But since they already HAD one win by the time we played them - whew.

He does his best to turnover the puck in the worst possible spots at the worst possible times.
So aggravating.

After the 1st period the wife says to me, "you aren't going to stay up late to watch this are you?"
To which I replied, turn it to the news......
It just didn't look like they had it in that 1st period and from the final score it appears that was the case. As Jeff has said numerous times, playing from behind and trying to come back is going to catch up to us....well it just did last night.

To my earlier point too. Their first was a shot you expect any high school goalie to save and then Talbot stones them on 2 break away’s. So frustrating. We shouldn’t be down by 1 and then 10 minutes later we are lucky to not be down by 3 or 4 😳

Yup,

On that 1st goal, all he had to do was have the glove in the "ready" position,
and presto! Look what went in to it.

Oh well.

I started feeling bad for Dumba in his presser after the game;
He took the hit for the loss and looked ready to cry for letting the team down...

It was a classic Dumba turnover, but the PP was even worse:
Two 3-on-5's and numerous other PP's and Zip/Nada.

At the End with 6-on-4 we couldn't even get thru the NZ clean with 2 extra guys!
Pathetic.

Deserved that loss.

Nicely done Rem Pitlick. Scored his first NHL goal, followed by the rest of the hat trick. Hartman set up all three.

Is Hartman our MVP so far?

Three highlight reel goals for a natural hat trick and the first goals of his NHL career, awesome!
Hartman is MVP by a long shot so far this season. I see him with an A on his chest after Dumba is traded to make room for Addison and on the cap.
