How many times did you hear a snide reference to things "not being like they were in college"? Who did we all know that was directed at?
But why go down a rabbit hole with you? Do you think Thibs treated KAT well or not? Let's at least set some basic assumptions.

I think Thibs coached KAT well. What were the high-water marks of KAT’s career, reputationally? Playing for Cal (not nearly enough shots) and then playing for Thibs. Finch, who is probably realer/tougher with him than we give due, is getting to a third peak here.

Ok, I don't think we're going to change each other's minds. I always respect your takes+know where you're coming from--it's a consistent place.
I think your argument holds up better without final act where Thibs backed Butler over the franchise he ran to an embarrassing degree.

The Ringer has him going 28th (and us taking Mark Williams).

If Gupta is anything like Rosas, I'll be shocked if we spend a 1st rounder on a guy who is almost 22.

Patrick Beverley response to Charles Barkley laughing for him celebrating:

"I said this team was making the playoffs when I got here, I've accomplished that. Now we got more work to do. I don't get why Charles is laughing at us for celebrating, saying we acting like we won a championship. The hell does that round mound chrome dome looking ass know about championship celebrations, I don't see a ring on that finger."

I'm actually a big Sir Charles fan, but Bev's comments are funny as hell.

Russell needs to get his game together for the Wolves to win tonight. He's shooting under 23% from the field
this series .

That’s totally unfair.

We also had a complete and total 2nd quarter melt down.

I’m totally ready to move on from KAT.

He’s an MVP caliber regular season player, but he can not handle the pressure of the playoffs.

Wow surprised to hear you guys say that about KAT. I thought I was alone in my opinion on him.

Yeah he falls apart and simply is not tough. mentally and physically
He has great skills but not the toughness needed to lead the team to where you want to be. I'd be totally fine moving him for a above average center who can control the paint and grab 15 rebounds a night, someone that can hustle down the court not bitching to the ref the whole game.
He often reminds me of a spoiled brat in grade school trying to convince everyone how much smarter he is than everyone else.

He needed his but kicked again....lets see what he has for the next game. The play in game and this past one has to show him the errors in his ways.

I agree, been saying this all year. I've turned games off this season cause I couldn't watch this crybaby anymore.

I'd do the suns C trade straight up just to get rid of Towns.

The formula is now set for KAT. Just double team every single time he gets the ball. He can’t handle it. He just gets frustrated. And then you’ve got him.

And regarding the 4th quarter meltdown, and the 2nd quarter one too for that matter. They got stagnant and settled for 3s. Really didn’t look for anything else but 3s.

And they were scared, awkward “we’re out of ideas” 3s. I’ve always said it: Not all 3s are created equal. The best opportunities come from rhythm and movement, with and without the ball. Standing around 3s are easy to defend. The offense consisted of 5 guys standing on the perimeter: “I don’t know what to do, you take it. I don’t know what to do, you take it. I don’t know what to do, oops the shot clock is running out. Better launch a three.

First three/4 sets had Vandy go to the hole, Beverly a layup, and only 1 three......they need some inside buckets or cold spells are going to kill.

I don't know if something happened to Edwards after game 1 but he took it to the hole hard that game and not as much since.

blow a 20+ point lead and Towns only took 4 shots?

He isn't a #1.

What you do about that is some deep water for a GM. Trading him would take some huge balls.

I don't know about the Wolves, but in their so-called 2nd quarter comeback the Grizzlies were absolute TRASH.

And per the above, during that time the Wolves didn't just settle for threes as they missed shots from elsewhere.

ESPN talking heads blasting Towns. Comes up small in big games. And what has he done to justify his 'next question' answer.

Dumbest team in the league? They made the playoffs didn't they?

Towns had to learn to win Regular Season games....Now Playoff games.

I am still waiting for Charles first championship. Chuck shows a lot of jealousy at times but KAT is the #2 behind Edwards. Edwards being hurt the last 2 games is the issue.

The key to the Wolves wins and losses in the playoffs is/was/will be Edwards ability to drive to the hole each game. Beasley and KAT do it somewhat but Edwards is the key....the lane needs to open up for him for us to succeed.

I guess they were smart enough not to get the massive injuries that plagued so many of our opponents.

We're not a smart team. We look great when our 3s are falling, but we completely fall apart when they aren't.

And smart coaches don't allow 21-0 runs without using any timeouts...

Saw that, he really is one of the dumbest players in the league.

I can casually watch them at times now but not going to invest any emotion in this team until Towns is gone.
