Why am I being ignored on the Wolves thread?

I'll end my recap with this dandy.

To those questioning Anthony Edwards being the Timberwolves No. 1 overall pick, a message from Karl-Anthony Towns after tonight's game:

"Let me say it was the right decision for us as an organization. I want to make that clear."

Ant's biggest fan, but still would've taken Ball first. Hope I'm proven wrong.

Last one.

The next post DL says he's starting to come around on Ant.

For the "Needy Chasm":

Edwards was a really bad college player. Really bad. He was late to the game and showed absolutely no instincts. Everything he did was based on being bigger, stronger and faster than everyone else. Everything else was huge red flags.

Then he because a Pro and was arguably the worst player in the NBA for the first half of the season.

(Notice that ALL your quoted posts are pre-All Star Game?)

Then he had a truly unprecedented jump after the break. Literally in everything. He was not the same player in any aspect of the game. In all my years of watching basketball I've never seen anything like it. Suddenly he was attacking the basket and making them. He was hitting jumpers. He was rebounding. He was passing. He was playing defense. He was engaged from start to finish, not just when he had the ball.

Where were all these hot takes when he was struggling? Hindsight is a powerful and worthless thing. What's next ? Are you going to admonish us for not buying loads of Bitcoin in 2011?

I get that there is a lot about basketball that you don't understand, and that this is a clear desperate cry for attention now that the Twins are done, but this is stupid even for you and I feel dumber for having responded to it.

Melo Ball is quickly becoming the most overrated player ever on these boards.

Me on March 4.

I thought this was a good one.

You thought a bad take was a good one?

Maybe look at what Melo is doing to start this year...

I start watching the NBA in late December when teams start to gel.

Great rookie year. Deservedly won ROY. Looks even better this year.

It kind of negates multiple pages of mocking other peoples takes in hindsight if he is going post a really miserable one of his own in the here and now.

Yes. You're incredibly desperate for attention and you got some. Good job.

Sweeney challenged me and I delivered.

Now back to Wolves talk. I'll be more involved in late December.

The Ball Edwards debate is not to important to me.
Is ball going to be the better player long term? Maybe maybe not

Edwards has improved greatly and is a good, fun, exciting, marketable young man. For now we hit on our pick and it looks great, so I am very pleased with that in itself.
He will continue to grow and seems to be willing to work on his game. Not too many drafts can we say all that.

As a Wolves fan I admit I pay little to no attention to Ball but I sure enjoy watching Ant have fun out on the court.
On another note I have always wished KAT would stop being a whiner it looks bad. Just shut up and play defense.

I've been an Any fan from the start. I thought Ball was the #1 pick. Haven't changed my mind yet. I LOVE Ant and have for a long time, but his game needs a lot of development. Ant's potential makes me want to watch the games. You can find many posts I've made applauding Ant.

I always knew Ant would be the best player in last year’s draft because he had the highest ranking score on nbadraft.net

I'm with you on draft night. I thought Ball was clearly the pick on draft night. I didn't call Ant a bust back then because I thought he had an incredible ceiling and really hadn't had the benefit of good coaching for most of life. Unfortunately the Wolves track record of getting guys like that to their potential is rather pathetic.

Where I differ with you is now. No way would I trade Ant for Ball at this point. Once the inept and horribly in over his head Ryan Saunders was replaced with Finch, Ant exploded. I think he is right there with Ball now and still has levels to reach that Ball doesn't have.

Great win over the defending champs last night in their own building. It's amazing that we did it while shooting poorly from 3 pt. Giannis got his in a big way, but the Wolves D held everyone else in check. They held Milwaukee to 41%, while shooting 47% themselves.

The Towns enigma continues:
The good - 25 pts (3/5 on 3 pt.), 5 ast, 3 blk
The bad - 3 reb
The ugly - 7 TO

Did not mind that at all. KAT was boxing out like I’ve never seen him before, and that was a huge reason we won the rebounding battle and why Vando, McDaniels and Ant were able to combine for over 30 boards.

That was one area I was going to point to in the evolution of Ant's game. He's upped his rebounding by over 3 per game this year. He pointed to rebounds in the offseason as an area he wanted to improve to become a more complete player.

Vando has a nose for the ball. Loved watching him chase down rebounds, especially from the weak side.

Ball is the more complete player at this point.
I'm optimistic Ant can become a more complete player based on his physical attributes alone. He's grown another 2 inches and appears to me more athletic than Ball. He's fast, he strong, he can shoot and rebound. He appears to be a leader on the team already and has more charisma than any other Wolve. I hope and expect him to refine and improve many aspects of his game.
