The question is, has O'Connell seen Mond practice?

I doubt Zimmer saw him practice much. All you need to know is that Zimmer spent most of his time on the defense and it ranked 29th and 30th the last 2 years. One of the best games they played against LAC he was forced to put in Vigil and Bynum into the starting lineup and start Richardson at DE. It was time for a change.

I no longer trusted Zimmer after that game as he benched Bynum and Vigil saw less PT than Barr from then on.

Only a feeling by me, but it just seems like, with all the infor that's come out since the firing of zimmer and speilman, with them not talking, that Zimmer was not playing rookies unless he had absolutely no choice just to stick it to Speilman. He knew HIS job was pretty much out the door and was trying to taken RS down with him. And it worked. It's just a feeling of mine. I have no evidence of this. Just my opinion.

Yeah I would say it was Zimmer first then Spielman...I am happy that there is a couple new guys in town especially if they don't want to talk to each other and put together a good to great coaching staff...

I would love to see us take Brisker in the middle rounds. He plays big like mathieu, and can work the run or pass equally well.

Man, when is it our turn to get a stable functional organization that can put good product on the field! Hopefully this time?

Hopefully soon. I'm not getting any younger and I will be pissed if I don't see the Vikes win the big game before my kids send me to a home for the old.

I wouldn't necessarily disagree, but that's hardly a recent development.

I'm just hoping a QB KO wants is available at 12. I like either Pickett or Corral.

I'm hoping we get a 1st and a 3rd for Cousins. I've been back and forth on it but I think I'd rather keep Hunter rather than just use his draft stock for his replacement. Unfortunately bc of his injuries we just won't be able to sell high. Use Cousin's 1st on CB.

What about trading KC for a 2nd this year and a 2023 1st? (roughly the same value?)

Loading up on 2023 draft capital which I'm hearing has a potential to be a really good QB class seems like a wise path to me.

I'd love to believe our QB will be there @12 but I feel a trade up will totally be on the table with this regime. And this rookie will find himself in a fortunate position.

Let's go!

You trade Kirk for picks it is most likely a rebuild. There are a couple of QBs that are close to as effective. Winston looked really good for the Saints last year and could bridge a couple of years---that would be sneaky and wouldn't be a rebuild I guess.

Sounds like this guy could help our defense.

Field Yates@FieldYates · 3hTwo crazy stats Cincinnati CB Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner, who stands at 6-3, 200 pounds:
▪️He didn’t allow more than 13 yards to any receiver in a game this past season
▪️He didn’t allow a TD catch in his *entire* college career

Winston seems like a guy that would keep you at mediocrity, not REALLY competitive.

After asking several Draft experts today, all of them lean towards the importance of an Edge rusher over CB at #12 for the #Vikings

Wish we could replace fat ass Pierce or FA bomb Tomlinson with an undrafted John Randle type.

Fumbled 38 times, lost 26.

For those who try to obscure history, he fumbled 38 times. Not 26.

I would love to see Sauce with our first round pick, and Brisker with a later pick. The defense would automatically be better with those moves.

If we could pick up a quality center in fa, then we’d be more of a real nfl team.

and the NFL ball is larger....

pickett with 8.5" hands...the 39 quarterbacks taken in the 1st round since 2008 averaged = 9.7" hands

Stop it.

'college fumbles' weigh even less statistically than 'total nfl fumbles', either lost or recovered.

[so that, if > = 'is worse than', fumbles not called by refs that lose Cousins comeback wins > fumbles lost > fumbles recovered > fumbles total > fumbles college]

Oh, let's say for example - off the top of my head: Clutch Cousins has the 2nd most total fumbles in the NFL over the last 10 years (77) ... BUT ... 27 of those he has recovered himself(!), 18 have been recovered by greedy teammates, with sadly 32 horribly unnatural bounces landing on opponents.

So Pickett may have pickles for hands but he has nothing to worry about if he can develop the same Own Fumble Recovery expertise that Clutch Cousins has developed over his career.

Cousins has been oopsie with the ball. The ball has bounced back to him as though there was heavenly intervention.
