And if he has clean bill of health and those stats are correct...Sign Him!!

Cousins is very limited with his movements in the pocket. If he has no pressure up the middle, it will help this team immensely.

I think he has drop back to the safe throw down pat…praise Jesus.

We need about 4M to sign rookies. We should be able to get this done if we want.

#Vikings Chandon Sullivan said Denver also had interest & Packers wanted to re-sign him but he said “it was time to move on” & was “just a better opportunity somewhere else.” Wouldn't give $ figures but asked if deal in range of $2-3 million with incentives, he said "potentially".

Interesting what positions they have signed and what positions they are trying to bring in.

3 defensive front seven starters signed.

1 IOL, probably just to compete, and another was brought in but signed elsewhere.

1 CB, although I think they need 2 in the worst way.

Seems, barring more signings, they go CB, OL in the draft. Which is no epiphany.

We offer the most certain starting opportunity for a CB in the nfl. Actually for three CBs not just one.

I wouldn't look at Richardson until AFTER the draft, after we signed/drafted two IOL (Schlottman doesn't count) and two CBs. Maybe not until June.

I wouldn't look at Beckham until August. Never mind, I wouldn't look at him.

What degenerative injury? I hope not. Getting hopes up

"Tretter was virtually never truly healthy in his time with the Browns. Due to knee aand ankle injuries, he basically never practiced during the season. He would simply come out and play every game without missing a snap, often doing a good job despite playing on one leg."

https://www.si.com/nfl/browns/news/browns-release-jc-tretter

I would be pretty excited if they signed Tretter but I think it's a big risk... my guess is they won't.

The #Vikings have free agents CB Nate Hairston and OL Jesse Davis visiting today, I hear.

Davis not great at RT but has played RG and had better numbers; Hairston another Slot Corner....seems like depth signings.

Man, Davis must be a locker room cancer. Either that or he's lazy. Something isn't right with him.

I assume you are talking about Wyatt Davis based on bringing in Jesse Davis?

Thing is, Jesse Davis is more of a tackle than guard.

They probably want to use him as a jack of all trades. He is definitely a master of none.

Yeah, sorry. Poor posting on my part. Wyatt was a pretty high pick and it seems like we are throwing the kitchen sick at it to keep him off the field. Something going there I would assume.

IN ORDER TO BE 'SUPER-COMPETITIVE'

Current Undecided Starter Battles
• TBD = to be determined / not on roster
• Presumptive starter listed first [back-ups not under consideration in brackets]
• I'm going to leave DL/LB alone because its a wild scramble right now
• I'm giving TE Smith / S Bynum the benefit of the doubt

Center1 TBN vs. Bradbury [Schlottman]
RG1 TBN vs RG2 [Davis?, Udoh?]
OT Swing Backup TBN vs Brandel
TE1 Smith vs TE2 TBN [Mundt, Davidson, Ellefson]

CB1 TBN vs CB3 TBN [Boyd]
CB2 TBN vs CB4 Dantlzer [Hand]
CB5 Slot Sullivan vs CB6 Slot ?
FS1 Bynum vs FS2 TBN [Metellus, Dorn]

We have no depth at guard. Wyatt has never played a down in the NFL, and ended his college career with an injury. I think that we are just being responsible.

Yeah, I have a hard time believing they are giving up on the guy already. He had numerous accolades coming out of college. I predict he will see the field this year and we will see then just now bad things really are.

I also believe that center is a greater need then guard. Bradbury is a borderline back up on his best days.

i don't know who, or exactly when, but somebody mentioned wyatt as a possible option at center last year....judd zulgad keeps bringing up o'connell's comments about bradbury being a great center, so then there's that comment to interpret....

sullivan's deal will cost us about $1mm in cap space....

Ben Goessling@BenGoessling
Chandon Sullivan’s deal with the #Vikings is worth $1.75 million this season. He got a $665K signing bonus, $50K workout bonus and can earn up to $660K in incentives based on interceptions, playing time and the team making statistical improvement.

rumor is that the slot corner visiting will get 2 million/year if he signs.
First, that sounds more like something just made up.
Second, $2M a year basically gets you trash. For any good corner, $2 million is the AGENT'S cut (just perspective... not saying one is out there or that we can afford it).

Chandon Sullivan (Vikings) one year, $1.75M, $665K signing bonus, salary $1.035M; $660K playtime-club improvement, interceptions incentive
