ORIGINAL: marty I still think it would be a good idea to move Ingram to LG, it may save his career, and I did say DURING THE OFF-SEASON. So far this draft sucks, getting some good FAs may have saved Kwesi's job, or at least allows him to stay in Minnesota longer. If you're honest, you'll just admit that it may help you save face. Next offseason is going to be interesting ... wonder if we'll sit flat like last offseason and just squeeze more victories out of Spielman/Zimmer's team like so much toothpaste. Maybe we can sign back all of Spielman's last draft class ... given a fair chance and a year to regroup, they may develop into more than Kwesi's nugatory first attempt. Which makes me wonder ... did we mostly keep the same scouting / personnel people from Spielman or did Kwesi import his own? Belay that ... found this astounding: "The Minnesota Vikings on Tuesday announced the promotions of Ryan Monnens and Jamaal Stephenson as Co-Directors of Player Personnel, as well as other changes within the personnel department. Monnens and Stephenson have forged a strong bond while working together for two-plus decades in various roles for the Vikings personnel department. Together they will oversee all college and pro scouting operations and personnel decisions. [They both will oversee all college and pro scouting operations and personnel decisions] Dated June 22, 2022 (after this year's draft) ........... Zowie! More 'collaboration glue' for Kwesi's staff. Now ... before any of you militant, over-zealous optimists complain about my complaining ... all I can say is ... imagine this 2022 team with the addition of a functional draft class, much less a strong one. Are you saying you're astounded that the GM isn't the one overseeing player personnel/scouting? Coming in, Kwesi's experience in this area was limited.
