The #Vikings’ first-round draft pick, safety Lewis Cine, won’t play in today’s opener against the #Packers because of the knee issue he aggravated this week, per source.

I'm told it’s nothing major for Cine – he just missed too much practice. Expect him to make his debut Week 2.

I hate when my first round draft pick is out for the start of the season...

I think I hate it more that he didn't win the starting job easily...

Also bugs me that Booth didn't come in and win a starting role, too

At least Ingram did....

Hope it was because the competition was fierce for the first two, God knows the RG competition was not...

Our defense should/better hold up today. Playing a team w/o much weaponary at wr and backup OT's.

I hope to see the offense prepared and not a grease fire of penalties.

For those battle-scarred beat-down purplefizz-drained joyless fans of the team like myself that hate one-sided purplefizz babbling projections of team dominance, allow me to project:

The packers are already dinged by injuries, playing in our house … they lost their stud weapon and their big burly rb has two starting OL out to our one (C). They have Rogers and a coaching staff that has proven to be very effective. However, I think after three SB runs and playoff failures, they are more focused on the longview and feel how long the season is, right now at this moment … as others have posted … they will not be able to match our intensity. They are the old scorpion that restricts their load of poisen for other stings. We’re the young immature scorpion that is going to blow out our venom sack right out of the gate.

Their QB, their coaching staff, their defense … our playmakers, our edge rushers, our house.

Us by 10-14 pts.

I think it would be wise NFL/College alike to implement policy barring HC's from hiring kin.

Techically, everyone is kin.

Why would you say that?

Never mind….

Spit the hook…

Wow. What if Cam Bynum is just good, and Cine has a higher bar to reach that he hasn't quite yet? Then we potentially have two quality safeties into the future.

And the sad thing is this is probably the best field we will see in Chicago all season......
Soldier Field is always in terrible condition no matter the time of year.

I looked it up.. a Canadian game pass site..

Well I guess technically, it’s global.. but I never heard of it..

Soldier field was resodded this off season.. they were using squeegees on the field in pregame warmups..

Watching Atlanta New Orleans on Sunday Ticket. Man how did we let Coredell Patterson get away. He is absolutely in beast mode as the Running back for the falcons. The Saints can't stop him. Fast and strong. Good for them I suppose. Wish he was Cook's running partner.

Chicago got an unsportsmanlike penalty on a field goal try for the holder sopping up water at the spot of the placement, pre snap!

Lol who knew?

Run a snowblower across a field.. prior to a kick try.. no problems..
Sop up water with a towel…

FLAG!!

From what we have seen so far it appears the refs have decided to be an even bigger part of the game.....calling every little ticky-tacky call.
