2-1 Wild over Habs after 2 periods. Just need one more period to get another win. Keep the shots down and Fleury flopping to a minimum....

3-1 final score with Ek getting his 2nd goal on an empty net. Nice to see them play with a lead all the way instead of chasing the whole game.

Yeap. They are starting to put it a bit back together but a lot of sloppy hockey still. We have to be honest, we go as far as our goalies take us this year.

It seems like a lot of guys are trying to do too much dangling instead of making the simple play. Kirill is the worst at that and it seems he is losing the puck more than making a play. Both Hartman and Dumba are handling the puck like their hands are bricks.....they need to clean that up or the give aways will continue.

Yup. No joke. I actually said to myself in the 2nd “is Hartman hurt?”. He has been nonexistent all year while, last year, he carried us early.

TBH, I’ve not even noticed what you mention because I’ve not even seen him out there. KK, I agree

Hartman was one of the reasons I thought letting Fiala go was such a mistake. There was no way Hartman was going to repeat a season that was such a career anomaly. Last season to this season is like losing two 30 goal scorers.

I'm just reveling in a win last night and am going to save the angst and second-guessing for another month or two.

Just look for the one fumbling around with the puck until he loses it.....it will be either Dumba or Hartman.

Cap wise they couldn't keep Fiala.

Guerin is going to have to get another scorer....uptick in Boldy and Rossi may not be enough.

They could absolutely keep Fiala. It would have meant trading Dumba, but that's a win win.

Nobody wants Dumba.....I still thinks that is what Guerin was mad about end of last year. He has no value which is the only answer I can come up with.

Dumba could easily have been moved for a prospect or a pick. Billy is just enamored with Dumbo for God knows what reason.

I don't think it is that easy. 5 teams have cap space.

Five is plenty. There were a lot more than that when the off season started.

Why doesn't the NHL regularly play weekday afternoon games like MLB does?

Jost a healthy scratch tonight so Shaw can slot in on the 4th line. I was wondering when that was going to happen. Jost seems like he is hustling when on the ice, but never really makes anything happen and is just kind of there. He has been given chances on every line now and just doesn't seem to be a good fit anywhere..... Too bad, from all reports he's a nice guy and good teammate.

Simple answer.... Money!
They don't have the money MLB does and each team needs every butt they can get in the arena seats to make ends meet.

Also they don't play outside in the sun and it is a Fall Winter season.

Why don't they play high school hockey or bball games during the day.....(kids are in school)

Really good win there. Hartman was excellent and as much crap as I’ve said about him I have to acknowledge it. MAF has been really good the past couple of games.

I like Hartman as a player. I just don't think he will maintain last year's scoring pace.

I think Kirill and Zucc are the only ones that can maintain their scoring numbers from last year. This team has to play good defense with structure to win games just like they did last night.

Yeah, and he will earn every one of them with bruises to show for them.
