I think Hall will prove better than Dobbs.
Afraid neither will play at the level Cousins has been playing.
What is Jefferson thinking at this point besides getting healthy?

I don't think we will miss Cleveland at all. I'm not saying he's the greatest source in the world but Boone would show his obvious misses in pass protection over and over again. Seemed pretty compelling.

Not great value for a 2020 2nd round pick...

Esp considering he was playing pretty good this year. At least according to PFF.

Again, I think this is a case where PFF falls on their faces.

Our line appears to have gotten much better the minute Ezra sat down.

I agree. Esp the screen game.

Every time you saw a receiver get blown up the second he caught a middle or left screen, it was from a missed Cleveland block.

Dobbs has also been playing behind, perhaps, the worst O-Line in the NFL in Arizona.

Agreed. My expectations are he can be at least a very good backup. No idea how much of Hall we will see now.

Just a guess but if Hall shows anything this weekend we won't see Dobbs unless he (Hall) falls on his face.

Thank you.

He was talking about this year. Not next season.

Not necessarily.

That new guy Risner is better than Ezra.

Considering Cleveland was supposedly so athletic (very high scores at the underwear olympics) that he would have accelled out in space on screens.

Risner is meaner and wants it more.......

I would love to see it; Dobbs looked really good this year with little talent. He would be an above normal replacement on the David F meter.

No problem. Just plug those plays into the phone and we're good to go.

I'm definitely more looking forward to seeing Dobbs than Hall, so I hope he gets a chance sooner, rather than later.

I can also see Dobbs as a guy who could start at the beginning of next season if we want to give our rookie a couple games to get up to speed. Or even to work him into a couple of games before giving him the nod.

watch the QB school highlights of dobbs beating dallas...linked above....

dobbs can make some throws that cousins cannot - no feet set, going backward - right - left, gets rid of the ball quickly and while backpedaling....

cousins can make the more precise passes when the pocket is clean, but o'connell will find that he can do so much more with dobbs on the fly....

put your seatbelts on, dobbs could be a really wild ride....

He's making 1.5M this year, so unless he leads us on a Playoff run, probably not much more than that...

So Dobbs isn't the GB WR after all, who knew? Basically the oft seen throwaway trade of 6th and 7th rounders down the road.

Cleveland sucked. He might have had a chance at tackle, but was bad from day one as a G. Blame goes to the Zimmer/O'Connell coaching staffs, and to Spielman and Kwesi (mostly Spielman) for not acquiring a real G. A 6th is better than nothing.

We may have gotten a better comp pick for him if another GM puts enough faith in PFF Rankings to give him a sizable contract.

I think we are going to like Dobbs. He makes plays on teams with less talented weapons and OLine.

Is he the future? We still need to draft a 1st round QB.

True, if our outgoing contracts are more than what we gain which seems plausible.

There will be some convinced by PFF rankings we could have rec'd a 3rd.

KOC remarked about how many people have texted him re suggestions over the KC injury so Souhan wrote an article about hacking into this phone. Here are a couple texts:

"My record as an NFL starter is 11-25. If you're looking to improve your draft status, I'm your guy." — Colt McCoy

"My mom grew up in Browerville, Minnesota. You know I'm not going to sign with the Vikings, and I know I'm not going to sign with the Vikings, but you should leak a rumor anyway, just to see how many Minnesotans believe it. Also, congrats to your new defensive coordinator, Brian Flores. I worked with him in New England. He's like Bill Belichick, except that he's won a few games without me." — Tom Brady

Anybody wanting Wentz has a screw loose. He is an awful qb. I'd sell off any parts with value and get a good long look at Hall.

Over half the people here have a screw loose.

I agree, sell and play the youngsters. Does Cine, Booth, Hall, Asamoah etc... have any value at all?

There have been several player+7th rounder for a 6th rounder trades in 2025 or 2026, basically the lowest value you can get w/o saying here take him for nothing. Cleveland is one of those types. The three you mention don't even have that unless some GM liked them in college and has an inflated ego for resurrecting them.

Dude had more value than I thought!

So at the end of the day it was Cleveland for Dobbs and a 7th. Good job Kwesi.

Yes the OL is thinner, but Cleveland is a cement footed turnstile so what's the difference. He was replaced by some unemployed guy.
