The pre 2023 NFL season hype machine, especially on Twitter, trying to get people to buy in to the greatness of JFields was something else. I don't know if I've ever seen anything like it before.

I know which coach used their “shitty” QB better, in the final minutes of a game, and it’s an embarrassment.

Yep. Ya pull 'em out of your ass last year and embarrassment this year. What're ya gonna do?

Josh Dobbs drove the team down the field and scored with 5:54 remaining to take the lead. He apparently forgot that part.

I don't think you're being factious. It was a big drive:

8 plays, 77 yards

run, 0
run, 7 (Dobbs scrambles!)
18 yd pass
pass inc
14 yd pass
run, 5
16 yd pass
17 yd pass - TD

O'Connell should start Dobbs, and if that program is failing, pull him mid-game....

as well as winning this season, we need to see if we want dobbs here next season - as a bridge for our 1st round QB, or whatever....i don't see hall or mullens doing that....

i don't want cousins back on this team no matter what - no more blowing big money on an 'I just work here' quarterback - and for those that think we can get cousins cheap; $30mm/yr isn't cheap - and he'll want two years minimum and probably more like $35mm, no trade....

Trade JJ and move up in the draft for the guy they want. Start him.

If you are going to go with a rookie QB... give him a chance with a strong receiving corp.

If that is the plan (and I'd love to see it), I'd keep JJ.

JJ at the dominant #1, Addision playing the #2 or slot and you make it much easier for the QB to grow.

Isn't that an argument to start Hall if you replace Dobbs?

I’d start hall just because we need a shake up/ wake-up..

If KOC can’t coach without Jesus boy to do his bidding, he’s worthless.

Dobbs played his ass off the charts, more or less, until he was “ groomed” into the KFC knockoff clone, trying Toruń the KOC offense the KFC way, with less accuracy.

If KOC does the same with Hall.. it should show upper management that their choice of HC, needs an offensive assistant, at the very least.

Start Hall.. see how it goes.. if he struggles, put in Dobbs.. if Dobbs reverts to turnover machine, blow this shit up and hold KOC accountable.

If ONE prima Donna acting player is preventing a coach from executing an offensive game plan and pulling losses out of winnable games…

Well.. I and others have seen this particular movie over the course of the years..

Tice comes to mind immediately…

In my mind... yes.

However, in the coaches minds, they are still chasing playoff run.

I like guys in the upcoming draft.
I think Hall is typical 5th round pick.
Maybe a decent backup.

I so happy that mullet is gonna start…

Can’t wait to see the exciting 3-5 yards checkdown after first read isn’t wiiiiiiiide open..

Human enema, left to start.. RB screen in the strong side flat on second and 8, then the coup d’ grace the 6 yard throw to Hockenson dropped just short of the line to gain then a punt netting 32 yards.

Oh joy…

Where do I buy my playoff tickets for the one and done in Detroit?

Stroud is the counter to that argument. He seems fine. I don't think Texans fans were overly excited about Collins, Brown and dusty Woods as a receiving trio for the rookie QB. Not to mention, the rookie QB is doing it with a rookie WR. Who knows how long Dell would have seen limited snaps/routes run if Noah Brown didn't get hurt.

Don't get me wrong, I'm generally not in favor of trading the best player on the team, especially if he is young. We (and Washington) overpaid Cousins for too long.

Imagine if the best player on our team was the QB. That would be cool. I think Houston already has that. Carolina not. I hope one day we get that right.

It fn sucks that management and “ Marty” thinks chasing the shiny Wr or DE or RB or DB or IOL is the key to getting out of the 63 and counting rut…

I’ve given up…

My blood still bleeds for this team, but after being a fan since before puberty hit and now sliding up on the sneak to funeral planning and EOL decisions.. still hoping for next year.. and that is fully on the “ experience tells me this team is going nowhere” dark side…

FM.. bring on mullet and runs into the teeth of a run blitz on first down, because if I was coaching an opposing defense.. I’m sending six guys from various positions, every play, until you burn me three times.. because your head coach is stupid.

While the value is difficult to know, people don't address what you could get in return for trading JJ. Picks and players seems reasonable. No guarantees, but a young QB could benefit from a trade for say two 1st rounders, a proven player, a second rounder, a third rounder. And $30-35 million in extra cap.

- A proven player to shore up the IOL.
- A 1st round WR to pair with Let's Get Paid.
- Top-tier IOL free agent.
- 3rd round pick for a versatile RB (luxury pick ha).

And on defense:
- 1st round DL.
- Top-tier free agent.
- 2nd round pick.

First, anyone not named KFC..

Second.. it’s starting to look like any combination, (no KFC), where our current head coach, doesn’t get to make calls in any critical decision play call situation….
