Like I said..

Let him go..

We have had top shelf wide receivers before..
Hall of fame level, even..

For what?

Jersey sales?

Disappearing in the playoffs or sitting out “injured”?

Stats don’t win shit.

If he wants to be the highest paid player in the league with zero payoff wins..

31 other teams can eat that money.

Justin Jefferson has a record of 0-1 in the playoffs in his career.

Sauce?

Stat muse.

Pass….

Bosa extension last Sept that I believe made him the highest non-QB: The San Francisco 49ers and star pass-rusher Nick Bosa have agreed to a five-year, $170 million contract extension that includes $122.5 million guaranteed, making him the highest-paid defensive player in NFL history, per multiple reports.

Spitballing... five-years, $175 million, $130 million guaranteed, no-trade clause and other player-friendly pieces to the much-ballyhooed contract structure. Backloaded out the wazoo.

We're flush with cap... piece of cake. Break the Bank Jefferson!

Tyreek Hill got 4 yrs. 120M 72M guaranteed

I'd say 5 yrs. 155M 80M guaranteed. Or play for 19M this year and franchise tag the next.

Kevin and Kwesi talking to media today at Indy. I'm sure they'll be frank and informative.

At least we are slowly closing in on the few days before and after the start of the league year ...

which may give us some concrete information to fight over.

Kwesi's word salad plays well into smoke-screen snippets.

Media: are you going to try and resign Cousins?

Kwesi: When you study development curves the path isn’t always linear, so there are levers that you pull that if you get this thing, you limit that potential so it’s that go between ... but I can tell you this, you believe in those positive sloping lines as long as they show up.

It’s getting close to league year go fish or cut bait, day..

Until I see a real sea change in this teams direction going forward, like getting rid of Smith, KFC and Like, Davenport, Mattison, and you all know who….

I have ZERO belief that next season will be an improvement over last season.

YMMV.

He's not worth being the highest paid non qb in the league. So naturally this franchise will make it happen and get nothing in return for it. They'll probably give Kirk 45 mill too.

Too low. IMO this isn't just about WRs anymore. Bosa is the target they are looking at, not Hill. Here is what Kwesi said a day or two ago:

"We got unbelievably close. We've said it and will continue to say it, we think he's the best wide receiver in the league and should be compensated as such. We think he's one of the best non-quarterbacks in the league and think he should be compensated as such. And so we'll continue to have those dialogues and those conversations."

It's the Wilf's wet dream too. Forget playoff performance and the like. Plaster JJ's mug all over town and fans will salivate as they settle into their seats wearing their authentic Jefferson jerseys.

Placate a player who says he wants to "break the bank". A player who says "I've done something that no one has ever done in the history of the game, so my situation is a little bit different than everyone else's."

In the history of the game, LMAO. Maybe in the history of fantasy football.

Who said this, Adrian Peterson or Justin Jefferson?

Since I got hurt the new goal is 1,000 yards. I want to end every single year over 1,000 yards. It's been hard to adjust those goals honestly, To have missed XXX games throughout the season, especially on the pace that I was going before the injury. It's a little tough to see XXX going crazy every single week, to see different people throughout the whole league doing tremendous things. It's been tough because it's the first season that I've been hurt since I've been into the league.

Victories? Making the playoffs? Actually winning a playoff game? The guy used to at least mention winning. Now it's even about how other players at his position are doing (in terms of yards of course not victories).

The modern NFL.

I'm resigned to it.

We'll resign Cousins. Extend JJ. Renegotiate O'Neill again. Release Smith.

Then the half-measures start.

Resign Wonnum instead of Hunter ...

Resign Osborn before an IOL ...

Draft a CB at #11 (if we don't trade down) ...

Got to keep that squad together from the 13-4 year of brilliance.

Spielman is the gift that keeps on giving.

I really want Hunter back. I know there's some research indicating pass rushers decline at Hunter's age, but that's based on players that aren't Danielle Hunter. I'm expecting him to be a superstar for at least 2 more years and probably 3.

To me it’s not whether or not I want to see Cousins back for 2 to 3 more years it’s that I don’t want him back and in the way of the future franchise QB we trade up for. We’d waste the window of a rookie QB on his 1st contract.

I would be surprised and disappointed if we trade up for a QB. Nobody all that good to trade up for. No Elway or Luck in this class.

To me it is a nice QB class 1-8 (I have read about the WKU QB and even the Tulane QB). Jordan Love was more sure fire than some of these and he sat 2 years.

I do not mind letting one sit a year...
