Nobody irate about the cheap shot into KK's ribs, twice!

I'm totally irate about that. There used to be an unwritten rule in hockey that you don't try to injure the other team's star player. Nobody targets Sydney Crosby the way Kaprizov gets targeted. Back in the day there weren't goons whose job was to take Wayne Gretzky out of the game. The fact that the injury to Kaprizov didn't even garnish a penalty is maddening.

I'm sure we all called that the gloves were going to drop the minute the game started, and indeed it happened. What I wanted to also see that as soon as that five minute penalty was up, another Wild player went after him again. Send the message so that everyone gets it.

Par for the course. Two constants since the Wild came into existence. They will receive cheap shots and officials and the league will do nothing about it.

The Jets have designated players whose only job is to go after other teams star players with the intent to injure. They have been doing this for a while now in the name of "old school hockey." It doesn't hurt them because they are always bubble players who jump back and forth between the AHL and NHL and will do anything asked of them just for a shot. It's too bad the league allows that crap because that is why Slap Shot is as relevant as the NHL to most people.....

Not sure if I missed what you guys are talking about but if it's the 2 shots that buckled him near the end boards, in the offensive zone, Middleton dropped the gloves the very next shift.

Yes - that's the one we're talking about. Yep - Middleton dropped the gloves. Our issue is that it wasn't called as a penalty. Parise used to get pounded just like that too, and it was never called either, but somehow when other players on other teams get the same cross check, the refs call it.

So do you just bend over and take it then? Seems like your content with the reaming.

We lose a star for how long, and their goon got roughed up a bit. Hardly a fair trade. Scheifele should have been run at until either he was in the hospital or "morgue" or we ran out of players.

I like this part from The Untouchables. The Chicago Way. You play like this and people stop taking liberties with your star player.

My problem is, we don't run their star in retaliation. I don't care if their goon gets a bloody nose or not. I want an eye for an eye +. Maybe then they stop F'ing with your star.

Don’t disagree one bit. Was just responding to “nobody stepped up”. We can question how much all day long

Yuck! Patchwork lineup couldn't generate any offense. Wild lose 3-1.

Patchwork? It was more like watching the Iowa Wild taking on the Flames...... I wonder if they have enough guys left in Iowa to suit up for their games.

I'm betting Joe and the higher ups in the NHL wouldn't be happy with the same treatment for Bedard that KK gets. KK is a Russian and not Canadian....it makes a big difference.

Speaking of Canada.....how great was it to watch them get booted from the World Junior tourney early. I loved it.

Is it time to start asking some really tough questions to BG? This team quit last night. Middleton was their best offensive weapon

Not a single shot from Boldy/Johanson/Rossi. How is that even possible? I get it, we had a lot of guys out but the guys from Iowa didn't seem to give a damn either. Some really iffy decisions lately.

1. You gave Boldy 7 mill a year for 7 years on "potential"
2. You resigned MoJo because he had a pretty good playoff series (that you lost, btw)

Neither are doing anything this season. It looked like Boldy might be getting out of his funk after the coaching change but he's right back to "that guy". How is it this franchise finds the least aggressive Bostonians on the planet????

It's like when Lou Nanne would find the only Swedes who couldn't skate.

Wild got a badly needed win in Columbus and Flower tied Roy. It's hard watching this team right now because the bright spots are so few and far between but it is what it is. It could get ugly real quick tomorrow against Dallas so the boys better enjoy it while they can.....

Yeah, I missed the first 2 periods as well. My granddaughters game was the priority yesterday....and they won so I get to go watch them in the tourney championship this afternoon.

Against a Dallas team that owns the Wild these days.....talk about baptism by fire!

So you're saying there's a chance!
(of a Win)
No way Deano makes that move away from Dandelion so quick.
I might actually watch again.

The explanation is that they want Fleury to hit his 552nd win at home. Plus - he's played four games in a row. Plenty of reasonable explanations for starting Wallstedt.

Another brilliant move by this org. Cater to the old guy so our future gets absolutely shelled, on the road, in his debut. That should help. At least BG's buddy gets catered to again so that's great

Blow this disaster up. Oh wait, we can’t because everyone but Darby has a no move clause. Oh wait, apparently he does too. Holy smokes has the shine of BG worn off at lightning speed 😳
