Wild win 5-2 with 2 empty net goals to seal the deal. A pretty fun 3rd period at least, and it's always more fun watching a win even though we need loses to secure a better draft position.

Gus' return to form didn't come a moment too soon. The Wild probably would have lost bad without him. He kicked out 40 while his counterpart stopped 14.

Agree but it also sucks. What are we going to do moving forward? You gotta think that Tulip is going to ask BG to trade to a contender but Gus would get us a better haul back. You can't move both of them so we ride with Gus and Wall next year?

Typical trade, typical loss and the Strib headline makes me LMAO and says it all. Playoff hopes take a hit in 'tough to process' loss

Dammit, we let that get away. We coulda been 6th in the wildcard if we could have gotten at least a point. So close This cake eating franchise will never figure it out.

We can win games against the East, I don't care as long as we keep losing to he teams from the West. Another playoff one and done will just set us back another year in the needed rebuild. Typical BG pickup in that trade for another AHL D-man. I hope that means one of our young guys is coming up and Merrill has taken residence in the Pross box for good.

A more accurate headline would be Wild's Playoff Delusions Take a Hit

At least they are doubled up on their stupidity. Today’s headline “Loss to Peds was another kick to Wilds playoff hopes”. So ur saying there's a chance…..

Billy Guerin named GM for team USA for the Olympics 😯 Has anyone on the USOC been paying attention?

Pretty satisfying win last night after letting in the first goal 20 seconds into the game. In spite of a season filled with a ridiculous number of injuries, our young guys have rallied, and even our special teams haven't disintegrated as it seems they always have in the past.

The Wild even won most of the face-offs

I know, right? It's been one of those things for a while whenever we'd win a face-off it would be a big, pleasant surprise. I'm liking that it's slowly becoming something that isn't so shocking.

How very "MN team-ish":

Start the year off ok but clearly not going to win it all
Have a funk where it's clear they stink so lets bottom out to get better picks
Have a resurgence after the ASB so that we still have no chance to do any damage in the playoffs but our draft status suffers

Sound familiar?

Boldy is playing at a high level again....Russo was specifically mentioning the line change with Boldy, Ek, and Special K together....it has unlocked Boldy.

We’ve seen other 2 game flashes from him. He needs to show way more consistency for me to believe.

The good thing is Boldy is only 22 and will hopefully become more consistent and learn to be a top pro he has to bring it every game, not just when he is feeling it.

Hynes has gone and proven to BG that we are in reality a one-line team with KK-Ek-Boldy.....after that we have Rossi playing with bottom 6 talent. I'm at the point now that I hope we keep blowing chances to get points so we can find another top forward for the future.

Is Hynes the first to put them together? I know Zucc used to be with KK before most of the time.
