ORIGINAL: Steve Lentz Having Conley back was huge. McDaniels was a difference maker as well. Towns was better, but we need more from him to win Game 7. Ant is Ant. Still evolving and he will have tough shooting games now and then, but he is the present and the future of this team. What a pleasure to watch him in a Wolves uniform! That was Town's best game of the Playoffs. He was clearly laboring to run up and down the court and had no lift on his jumper. But even on 1 leg, he rebounded the ball like a demon and played the best defense on Jokic I've seen. Towns was getting some praise by media, and that’s pretty insightful considering his box score was not that great. And yes, he is the best matchup to be the primary defender of Jokic. That leaves Rudy free to roam and protect the lane, and be a help defender. That’s his best role. I don’t need any more Towns drives where he piles into the defense like a fullback on 4th and 1. I would like to see him get more 3 looks though. He’s one of the best 3 point shooters in the league. And when a big man does that it stretches out the defense. Same with Naz to an extent. Naz is great at deciding whether to take the 3 or drive. And his drives are usually much better than Towns actually. But in the playoffs he’s been a little out of control on them.
