Well at least a couple of pretty good games schedule wise if ANT has to rest, though the failure of earlier years against easier opponents still lingers; has anyone heard any up date on how McDaniels is doing? or for that matter one of my favorite J MacLaughlin?

MacLaughlin is out the longest:

A bit of a clunky game last night. No Ant, but McDaniels was back which was good to see. 'Fat out of shape' Zion looked like he had something to prove and the Wolves weren't able to match it.

No big deal. This just in. You can't win them all. Losing on the road missing your star will occasionally happen.

I am not a big stats guy so can't really document proof of my thoughts here, but. First, I really like Anderson for lots of reasons, but this whole season to me it seems like he is very reluctant to shoot, and when he does it seems he has been way off far more than I remember last year. I remember him being a decent 3 pt shooter and excellent around the hoop and with a floater. Guess even the free throw line seems worse for him.

As a person who has dealt with lots of eye problems, I keep going back to his eye injury the end of last season and wondering. And his occasional choice of goggles this season. Did he shoot well this summer playing for China? Is he just in a long slump? Or are my perceptions just way off?

Andersen has never been a particularly good shooter, and he's been worse since a shoulder injury a few years ago.

You can pretty much mark last year down to small sample variance.

2021-22: 36/109, 33%
2022-23: 43/105, 41%

At that small of an amount, every make or miss is a full % + or -.

Anderson got exposed a bit at the end of last year when he was forced into more minutes due to injuries. Here’s a nice steady veteran influence, but there’s no way he should get significant minutes. He’s too limited, especially now that he can’t shoot.

Its a problem when he's out there with other non-shooters like Rudy.

With McLaughlin out most of the year, Kyle has been the only guy after Conley that has any "real" PG ability. And his defense has been vital with Jaden out.

I was hoping that we would have had interest in Exum. His injury history could have been an issue, but I think he would have been a good fit for this team.

"I made comments in the heat of a moment that are not me, and that are not aligned with what I believe and who I want to be as a man," Edwards wrote. "All women should be supported and empowered to make their own decisions about their bodies and what is best for them. I am handling my personal matters privately and will not be commenting on them any further at this time."

Edwards, 22, was tagged in a post including the conversation via leaked text messages, which allegedly showed a photo of a positive pregnancy test and responses "hell nawl can't do dis" and "Get a abortion lol."

The post also includes a photo of a wire transfer of $100,000 with text messages saying, "I will send you money to help you out" and "you got da money whats the hol up."

LOL, that Edwards sure shows a broad range of writing styles!

Meh. Its a nothing story. No laws were broken, and its far from a unique situation.

Wanna be actresses/models have given way to wanna be Instagram models/influencers trying to hook young men with more money than sense/experience. The biggest difference is how available all this stuff is to the rest of the world.

Maybe we get lucky and a few petty voters leave Ant off their All NBA Teams and we save a boatload of cash.

Agreed. It’s nothing. Even assuming for argument sake all the texts are true, coarse language aside, the facts we know are, she claimed to be pregnant and didn’t want an abortion, he offered 100k to ‘convince’ her to do so, she got mad when payment didn’t come quick enough she went public.

Shitty situation all around but nothing illegal. Move on.

What is the appeal of Michael Grady? Seems very sleepy to me. Shows zero personality.

Maybe I'm just used to the over-the-top homers like Dick Bremer, Paul Allen, Anthony LaPanta and Dave Benz. It's like Jim Pete is trying to get Grady to bite, and he just refuses.

Grady is fantastic at his job. He’s never trying to be bigger than the game or call attention to himself. He’s smooth, funny when called for and very knowledgable.

1000x better than Dave Benz on his best day. Benz is fine if you have a lousy team, as he can distract you from the game. But he had no gravitas or authority. He needed to go as soon as the team showed signs of being good.

We’re incredibly lucky to have Grady.

I really liked this come from behind victory. This is the first time in a long time that the Heat were healthy. Honestly, I thought they had us.
Edwards is a real deal dog.

We have to keep banking W's. Our schedule gets harder as we move forward. I think we have only played one b2b so far this season.

Keep getting wins. The West isn't as strong as it has been. Good time to be good.

One of the most entertaining games of the year for sure and probably their best half of basketball. The defense was stifling and the offense made clutch shots.

I am guessing you are referencing having to relieve himself?

He is so smooth it fit right in.

No specific references, just in general.

To distract from the awful product on the court.

It is amazing what talent the Wolves DNP every night and have in the G League now compared to then.
