Could Jordan just have one off-season go by where a driving offense wasn't an issue? Just one.

https://www.dailynews.com/2024/07/14/former-usc-receiver-jordan-addison-now-with-vikings-arrested-near-lax-for-alleged-dui/amp/

they found him sleeping inside a rolls royce while parked in the #1 lane of a freeway near lax - at 11:30pm...when processed, they determined he was drunk....

the players' union has to realize that for some of their union members, having to leave the teams' facilities is just not a good idea...but it should be an option if the member wishes to stay....

So isn't that #2 for Jordan....He was caught driving over 100 and now this.

Million dollar contract and can't Uber or Lyft.

Eh, he paid $686 in fines for driving 140 mph. Wes Phillips paid $378 in fines for a BAC of 0.10. The fine for taking a little nap is probably like $50.

Unless the car was running. In that case it's a DWI.

So what conditions would cause someone to nap in a car on a lane in an LA freeway? In no order:

1. Being under an extreme influence of drugs, alcohol, and/or medication.

2. Been up for days on end.

3. Really bored with a long, long wait for a traffic jam to clear.

4. Being one of the stupidest people on the planet.

5. Burning, as in I can't wait another minute, desire to test Rolls Royce sleep accommodations.

Going with 1 as the direct cause, with 4 being sort of the steady-state background.

The fact that he just had a teammate die due to a speed and alcohol related accident does nothing to open his eyes? That's being terminally stupid.

Jefferson now has a beautiful child with a beautiful woman, he will be paying child support:

https://share.newsbreak.com/7rf5yzf0

He shouldn't have put pressure on her to abort the child.

Very cool! The Vikings are adding Bobby Bryant to the ring of honor this year.

Ring of pretty good now?

Bobby Bryant was great. He was a mainstay on one of the greatest defenses of an era. He picked off 57 passes between regular season and playoffs. That's still the Vikings all time record. Four of his playoff interceptions came in two NFC title games, including one off Roger Staubach that returned for a touchdown.

Alright. If he has the most Int’s and isn’t going to be surpassed any time soon I’ll ok it.

What qualifies as soon? He's already held the record for 44 years.

1 AP second team.
2 Pro Bowls.

Meh. The front four powered that D, but he's an ok CB rep for the ring of honor.

I'm excited to see what our defense can do this season. I think our roster will surprise some teams.

Just found this….

Minnesota Sports Fan was able to confirm with the LA County jail that Jordan Addison was never actually booked into their system. So while he was detained on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, he was never booked, had no mug shot, etc.

The reason why? According to MSF, Addison was given a “Cite and Release.”

According to Shouse California Law Firm, “In California, cite and release is the practice of police issuing you a citation for suspected unlawful conduct, but not bringing you to jail for a formal booking. Instead, you are released on the condition that you make a signed promise show up to court, later on. The process is used mainly for low-level offenses, such as misdemeanors or infractions.”

I hope the aggression is turned up and they can’t get the O the ball back a lot. We could roll scoring 30* a game.

Flores to scraps and made us respectable. Getting him for a 2nd straight year is such a boon.

If true, this probably means he wasn't legally drunk.

EDIT: I take that back. More likely a special courtesy extended to a pro athlete. From the arrest statement

After a DUI investigation was completed, the driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence at approximately 2336 hours.”

So he was clearly tested and failed.

So does anyone here thing McCarthy starts the season? I've heard very mixed reports so far.

I do not believe he’ll start the season. And if we’re competitive not at all this year.

The reports are funny. The write ups either say bust or surprising season starter and not much in between.

I think Addison can be elite. If the work he supposedly put in pays off we’ll see it right away.

Someone needs to get through to him though. Speak his language. Hey Mr let’s get paid…the trajectory you’re on is going to see you get paid..millions less. Smarten up.
