I was at both the Tuesday and Wednesday night games.

Staumont pitched the ugliest scoreless inning in the history of baseball. We deserved to win that game just for that.

I didn't understand not pinch-hitting Jeffers for Vazquez with the winning run (Buxton) on base. Also, with 2 outs, Buxton should have at least tried to steal 2nd.

what does this response have to do with my question?

Because although Lewis hit another HR, he also made the game-blowing bad throw on a routine play in the 10th inning.

That's his defense. It has nothing to do with my question. I'm going to answer my own question. YES.

It was no worse than Correa's flub on the stolen base that led to the tying run.

Simple...leave their next most dominant hitter in the Minors (Lee) and you can even add Severino and also pitcher (Festa) while letting guys like Farmer, Margot, Jackson, and Santana play even though they aren't the future and barely the present.

LOTS of empty Buxton at bats this year

Pretty replaceable at this point.

And again I say Falvine should be fired for this. Falvey was supposed to turn the organization into a pitching factory and failed miserably.
