20. There is a pretty good chance a projected top level player at a need position will be there at #18.

Are these the only players with a projected 1st rd grade?

One really has to question winning these last 5 games after being eliminated. We could be looking at picking 10th.

I'm not sure how you tank when you have healthy players playing for contracts and some playing for pride.

On top of that you have a coach that is on the hot seat. We only played one good team(DET) and one average team(Dallas) down the stretch.

How did tanking work for Miami? A big lawsuit and more mediocrity.

Our biggest problem was KAM. The drafting was easily the worst in the franchise history.

Not only that but it led to overpaying for Hargrove, Allen, Jones, Kelly, TJ, Rodgers, and Fries to cover up the draft miscues.......

Please, for years you were the ultimate Kwesi supporter. Now after 37 days you suddenly change your tune in an attempt to yet again live vicariously through the current regime? Pathetic.

Your bitching about everything is what is pathetic.

I’d rather see Brad H post about Sam.

Ah, you not denying it speaks volumes.

Just know that slamming Kwesi after your four years of unabashed and unyielding support is hypocritical at best.

I agreed it was time for him to go. Lakers must be struggling?

We have had GMs with worse records.

Kwesi was one of the worst GM's in NFL history.

A lot of folks here, and elsewhere, myself included did not like the hire.

He should have been fired for his first trade in his first draft and pretty much encapsulates his tenure here. good riddance!!

Time to get a real football GM and talent evaluator. No more triangle of collaborative mediocrity.

The whole "KAM experience" was such a weird thing overall. My thoughts in real time were:

1. Hired - hmmmm, never heard of the guy but it's a different approach from RS
2. Pretty interesting since we've never had an analytical guy before
3. Passes on Hamilton "is that wise?"
4. Trades with Det "is he an idiot?"
5. Extends KC's "oh shit, he is an idiot"
6. Given an extension "oh wow, am I wrong about this guy?"
7. Has, what I thought, a great FA class "I was totally wrong!"
8. That class flames our horribly "we are both idiots"

At least it was a relative flash in the pan and we can move on.

Yep, right away he was trying to show the NFL how brilliant he was. FAIL.

Would ATL give up a 2nd for Greenard with their Edge Pearce in some serious legal trouble?

The Falcons don't have a first rounder this year and just 2 in the top 100 and 5 overall so they may want to keep that 2nd.

I'd push for their 2027 first.

We have no leverage. And any buyer is facing giving up something for a player who wasn't all that in 2025 plu.s increasing his salary by who knows how much or be left with a one-year rental.

If he wants more $, the regime won't give him more, and we want to stockpile picks - basically where the two sides are at an impasse and next year he will finish his contract and walk for nothing in return - then we should just shop him for the highest bid

He's certainly not worth a first, even if it's a year away. Let the market decide. Be happy if we get a third either this year or next.

Has anyone seen Eric Gentry play in USC's defense? He looks like he would fit well in whatever defensive scheme Flores would cook up, and he would be available in the lower lower rounds of the of draft.

Looks like a project guy. Needs to add alot of strength. Maybe a 7th round or UDFA pickup for us.

Oh Jesus! Quit responding Phil. His incessant 14-3 posts are about as meaningful as Gen Z with 6-7. He only throws it out there to get a response.

Will be interesting to see if the UDFA path is as aggressive without Kwesi.

Not really. Just trying to stay in a draft moment.

According to Ohio State nose tackle Kayden McDonald the Vikings sought him out for a pre-draft chat. If he's available to us in the first round it looks like we could pull the trigger on a nose tackle. According to this article sounds like quite a few teams are interested in McDonald. https://vikingsterritory.com/2026/news/top_news/kayden-mcdonald-vikings-draft-visit

Here's some online hype about McDonald. I think he'd look good in purple.

"Dominant Run Defender: McDonald is regarded as perhaps the best run-stopping tackle in the 2026 class, using quickness and power to dominate the interior and stuff opposing running games.
2025 Performance: Following a breakout 2025 season, he recorded 65 tackles, 9 tackles for loss, and 3 sacks.
NFL Potential: Projections place him as a first-round pick or high-tier prospect with "day-one starter" potential in the NFL, often described as a "problem" for offensive linemen."
