I wouldn't mind seeing if Lonzo Ball has anything left in the tank.

I think I would start playing Dillingham before trying to pick up Lonzo.

Personally, I believe it's about 70% that Giannis is still a Buck after the trade deadline. The Bucks have no need to trade him now. They can probably get a better deal around the draft.

He's the 460th ranked player in scoring efficiency. And he can no longer guard quick players.

He was really good the 2.5 years before injury, but he he was bad when he finally played again last year - and he's worse this year.

He was trying to come back from something that has never been done before. It was a valiant effort, but he's toast.

It could backfire if they don't deal him now. Unless they sit him the rest of the season so he doesn't tear his achilles. But from what I heard Giannis wants to play otherwise he won't qualify for another supermax contract (I think).

So sitting him and tanking is what needs to be done but could piss Giannis off.

Ant with a nice finish to the game. Wasn't it 20 times they had beat us there?

KG led us to our last win in Toronto before last night.

So at the end of the day, here's what Tim ultimately gave up for a likely rental of Ayo Dosunmu and Julian Phillips:

842 Total Mins of Rob Dillingham in 1.5 Seasons
2031 Unprotected Pick
2030 1st Round Pick Swap
4 2nd Round Picks
Leonard Miller

This is not ideal asset management.

Ayo actually played with Shannon Jr. on Illinois team....averages 15 pts/game and shoots 37% from 3 and can defend 3 spots.....good defender. Phillips is 22 and no one knows.

The Wolves are "likely" using the trade exception in this trade, source says. Lots of pieces still moving.

The Wolves have a $7.58M trade exception from the Nickeil Alexander-Walker sign-and-trade this summer, and Ayo Dosunmu makes $7.52M.

Checking now to see if that is what was used to acquire Dosunmu -- as it would allow the Wolves to not need to send any salary back to

I have no concerns with this trade. The Wolves gave up the sleeves off their vest and came away with a difference-maker at a position of need (and his Bird rights). May have even kept their powder dry for a run at Giannis this summer.

This trade is more on the scale of what I was hoping for. Giannis is fun to think about, but the price would be steep, he is currently injured and it would take a lot to build into a cohesive unit by the playoffs. I absolutely hated the idea of parting with McDaniels.

Dosunmu adds the bench scoring we desperately needed. We had Naz for reliable bench offense. Bones can be good, but he's streaky. Clark is just worthless on offense.

Dosunmu is the guard I wanted. Good shooter, solid defender and he's a capable ballhandler, secondary playmaker. Probably closer to a PG than Donte.

Julian Phillips:

22 years old, 6'8, 7' wingspan, high energy solid to plus defender, elite athleticism. Can't shoot the 3, but a solid FT shooter so there is potential there.

43" vertical jump. 5 star recruit out of HS

Dosunmu is hitting his prime at age 26, and he's having a great season. He's a tough point-of-attack defender who isn't nearly as good off the ball. Rudy Gobert should cover those mistakes, and Dosunmu and Gobert will make a great defensive pick-and-roll duo with Gobert in drop coverage.

Dosunmu brings a lot of value offensively. He's a very streaky 3-point shooter who has alternated between good and bad years. This is his best year, hitting 45 percent of his attempts.

He is also one of the fastest North-South guards in the league. He will regularly create at least one fast break layup out of thin air. He uses that speed to attack closeouts off the catch, which makes him the perfect fit next to Anthony Edwards.

Getting Dosunmu for the price of some busted prospects and second round picks is a very nice piece of business for Minnesota.

Rumor is that the mid level will be 15 Million so Dane Moore and others (Skor North) see this as a way to resign him with Bird Rights to go over the cap.
