This team is reminding me of the Les Steckel days. Yuck! Like mentioned earlier this team is old and cannot stay healthy. The most important position on the team, QB, has no clue of what is going on. Today's game was like watching a train wreck. I am usually optimistic about the team, but I really don't believe we will another game this season. If that means it gets rid of Kwesi, the line coach, and special teams coach I am good with that.

We need to start over or at least a real reset to get a good team back on the field in a couple of years. Let's just don't screw up our draft picks!!!!! So tired of thinking that.

Do you think a new GM is going to want O'Connell as their coach?

Hire a new GM.

Bring KOC in for a talk.
Tell him he needs to give up playcalling. We need to run an offense that doesn't rely solely on big chunk plays. We need to figure out an offense that can get short yardage 1st downs and that can score easily inside the 10.

If he says no to all that, maybe you give Flores a shot.

Good luck getting a good GM that can't immediately hire the coach of their choice.

The Wilf's will just hire an underqualified one that will do what they want.

That's why Holmes(Bears GM) bowed out when The Wilf's insisted on their competitive rebuild horsesh!t

This organization is in a tough spot when you hire an offensive minded coach but can't score any points.

It's feeling like a major rebuild to me. At this point, we have a bunch of players who don't look like they want to be on the team. And I don't trust kam to make good choices with our draft picks and free agency options.

Okay. Stay the course and keep bitching.

So you are insinuating a new GM should not have authority to hire a new HC? There are plenty of people to fill the role of a neutered GM.

Exactly. Give me a GM with the sack to make the tough decisions. Nobody worth a damn is gonna roll with softy KOC as a coach.

And in simplistic terms, that should be a given.

Wilf: Umm, we'd like to keep KOC on as HC.
Prospective GM: Go F*** yourself.
Cousin Lenny 'Kneecapper' Wilf: Hey, I like this guy!

As for KOC being a "softie", none of that matters if you win.

BUT, it's very difficult going from that to being a disciplinarian. Moreso that the reverse.

You guys are probably right.

But, does KOC look better right now if we aren't drafting stiffs at an 80% rate?

I guess what I am saying is you bring in a new GM. KOC could still be in the picture if he makes some changes that the GM wants.

He's had some success here. Granted, just regular season success, but he might get one more year to right the ship.

Fir point. To me KOCs biggest issue is no adaptability. Like Bill says he's just a nice version of Zimmer. Gonna be an interesting offseason.

That's a more reasonable take, but a legit GM says I will decide.

And with 44% of the league's teams making the playoffs every year, "just regular season success" doesn't mean much.

The biggest question is will the Wilfs eat 8 years of contracts between KAM and KOC?

I'm not saying he has no input on coach. He has all input on coach. He better have someone in mind that he knows is an upgrade. If he wants to bring in a retread like a Pete Carroll type. Pass.

KOC would have to interview like all other options. If that makes sense.

They won't. That was hypothetical talk.

The Wilfs bought the Vikings in 2005. Since then, they have 3 playoff wins, 28th in the league.

Why dent the financials.

If said GM has someone in mind that he knows is an upgrade then there is no need to waste time with a KOC interview unless the Wilfs deem the dog and pony show is important.
