ORIGINAL: marty I think the first trade the Vikings will make, will be trading Hunter. I think they will get just a 2nd for him, and a swap of something like a 4th for a 3rd, and the Vikings get a conditional 2nd or 3rd rounder next year, if he makes the pro bowl for his new team. I think you keep Hunter. I think you send Cook to Miami. Hometown guy for them, position easily replaceable for us, Dolphins need weapons. Aren't hometown guys in Miami about a dime a dozen? Not like a Thielen or a Fitzgerald for us. Miami could us a good RB. Cook would qualify. and we can get by just fine with Mattison, Nwangwu, and a draft pick. Trading Cook would free up some cap space, Add draft picks, and takes a guy that can't play a full season off our roster. I would be fine keeping or trading Cook. Do you understand that Cook compared to most RBs has been an Iron Man over the last several years? Responding to a post I made 5 months ago. OK. And your response has nothing to do with my post at all. I didn't say anything about Cook's durability...though it's hard to miss that he's never played more than 14 games in a season... He also doesn't play nearly as well once dinged up. He may play 14 games, but if a handful of them come after an injury, his production tends to be greatly reduced. He's an Italian Sports Car. If he's not in the shop, he needs to be perfectly tuned to perform.
