Bad loss to a bad team.

Early over-achievers. Reality has set in.

God the rebounding was awful last night.

As was the officiating. The refs HATE Mathieu for some reason. Hacked at least 2-3 times in overtime that weren't called that would have changed the game. Hammonds nearly threw Dre in the stands at one point; no call.

Disappointing stretch, to say the least. I won't say the wheels have come off the bus, though -- Tubby's teams imploded; this one is just getting exposed in the areas it lacks in talent.

Oto rod the pine. He was squarely in the doghouse.

Rebounding is not King's strength either. And it got exposed.

They also got out-hustled to several shots that hit the floor, as well as deflections that were loose.

Personally couldn't stand the announcers. Guys would score, and they're just going on and on about other stuff. bleh.

The announcer kept making the point that Hammonds played more minutes than usual because normally he gets in foul trouble. He also made the point that he thought the officials called a great game that didn't favor either side.

All the while Hammonds was basically committing blatant fouls on both ends on damn near every possession.

That said, our inability to secure defensive rebounds all game, and inability to make any shot outside of under the basket to Walker in the OTs doomed us.

Clearly both teams lost their legs in OT. Pitino should have substituted better.

We need the PF recruit -- can't remember his name -- in the worst way to pull down ten boards a game.

Hammonds was totally gassed; he was just lumbering around running into people.

I don't know much about BBall but watched the 2nd half and OT's. That was my thought. Crappy ofense because both teams were exhausted.

Big win over Indiana, coming off losses that should not have occurred.

Mathieu was big. I couldn't be more impressed with how he plays. Imagine if Eliason had that type of energy, dedication, pride and confidence?

MO

Is really improving.

Example 1-2 and 3 of why Tubby was fired.

Nice to see Mo pulling down more boards. Love the offensive confidence he's getting.

MO

Is really improving.

Example 1-2 and 3 of why Tubby was fired.

It shows how inept Tubby was at so many levels of recruiting. He recruited Mo because he was Corey Joseph's best friend and Tubby wanted Joseph bad.
1. He burned a scholarship on a player he didn't really think was that good in hope of landing the recruit he wanted.
2. Joseph wanted nothing to do with Tubby's program.
3. Joseph's brother left the program shortly after.
4. And finally Tubby had no clue how good Mo could be if he got in shape.

Pitino came in and said Mo you're going to have to get in shape to stay in this program. Here is the trainer I hired for the program and I expect you to work with him and get in shape. Tubby could rewarded a long time ago and maybe even kept his job in stead of making lame ass claims about ageism.

But

But

Tubby and his Techies beat OK State this weekend, with some jerk fan getting the best of the star player.

Nothing wrong with how Tubby handles other coaches' recruits. Just can't work with his own.

Fun one to watch
Lots of mistakes down the stretch, but Indiana wasn't good enough to make it hurt.
Fun to see all the energy in the barn
Interesting to see how supportive the Pitino family is. Doesn't hurt one bit.
