Gophs lost to Tubby's team

after the game

Tubby: "I’m really happy that we were able to come to a place like Texas Tech. Where they celebrate you and you’re not just tolerated.”

Wow, if you didn't know better, you'd think he was a whiny ingrate.
Wait ....

Where does that even come from? I loosely follow Gopher BBall. Did Tubby think his firing was racial or something? I can tell you, living here, Texas is about the least tolerant place on the planet. Unless, of course, you are a "devote Christian". If you go to church, or pretend to, oh shit:

you can whoop your kids ass, ad lib
talk shit about anyone as long as you say "God bless thier soul" after
be a bigot, racist, sexist, homophobe and just general POS as long as......read 1 above.

I work for a telecom giant and my customer is also a giant. It's amazing the things they say and are on their FB pages. It would blow your mind. I have about 200 friends on FB from Minny, they never shock me with comments. I have, maybe, 20 from Texas, they shock me every time they post. It's sickening.

I'll admit I didn't watch with 100% attention, but it was an impressive victory over Clemson. Murphy kid looks good.

King, Mason, and Murphy looked good with good stretches from Buggs and Morris. We have some Bigs that can shoot the 3 (Buggs, Murphy, and King)

Do you all think the Gophers will be a top half or bottom half team in the Big Ten this year.

I know absolutely nothing about basketball or how to rate a team, but Darren (Doogie) Woolfson on 1500 a.m. does and the other day he said that he expects this year's Gopher basketball team to be pretty bad. Or at least nothing to write home about. He is much more optimistic going forward and thinks that next year they could make a showing in the conference (paraphrasing).

I have no idea. Young Richard is getting more of the kind of player that fits the system he wants to run. He has a good recruiting class and another one coming in. It will really depend on how fast he can develop these kids. He isn't getting those 1 and done level recruits, so they likely won't be really good until they hit the late sophomore, early junior stage.

Similar when UCLA under Wooden had to make that northern trek and face Oregon and Oregon State on the road.

Or when the North Carolina schools face off against each other in the ACC.

What if MN had to face USD, SDSU, NDSU and UND successively?

It would be like Custer going into the Dakotas.........(and Montana).....that didn't work out too well for Gorgeous George.

Hey.....Craig Smith is from Stephen.....that has to be pretty close to Hallock, isn't it?

Yeah, I'd estimate it's about 23 miles south of Hallock on Hwy 75.

#Gophers get booed off the floor trailing 45-22 to South Dakota St at halftime. MN shooting 23% (6-26). SDSU 51% 8 threes. Bittle 17 pts

Marcus R. Fuller ‏@GophersNow 16m16 minutes ago
Guess this is time to say that #Gophers haven't lost consecutive nonconf. home games since 1977. But that was vs. No. 4 Marquette & Nebraska

SD Murderers Row completes the sweep
No ne should have to endure that kind of tortuous schedule
Remember when our FB team started getting routinely beaten by our smaller neighbors?
At least they were smart enough to stop playing them.
