I agree with what you're saying, but Dorsey was a top 100 recruit coming out of high school last year. However, I'm not too disappointed about him leaving. Hopefully he finds something that works out, but it didn't seem to be happening here.

I agree with what you're saying, but Dorsey was a top 100 recruit coming out of high school last year. However, I'm not too disappointed about him leaving. Hopefully he finds something that works out, but it didn't seem to be happening here.


Mason, McBrayer, Gilbert, Fitzgerald, Murphy, Lynch, Coffey, and Hurt will get all the playing time next year with Konate/Diedou mixed in for height. Plus the possibility of Curry playing and Buggs staying....no PT for Dorsey.

Status: offline 		Charles Buggs graduated this month from the University of Minnesota and will transfer from the Gophers basketball program, the team announced Tuesday.

Buggs, 23, has one year of NCAA eligibility left entering his redshirt senior season. He was recruited by the staff of former Gophers coach Tubby Smith before the 2012 season, though he didn’t play until 2013 after the athletics department hired Richard Pitino. As a junior last year, Buggs appeared in 28 games and averaged 5.8 points and 2.9 rebounds on 24.1 minutes.

“It has been a pleasure to coach Charles over the past three years and see his continued development and growth as a basketball player and a person,” Pitino said in a statement. “Charles has always represented the University with class and I am especially proud of him graduating. He has a bright future in basketball and life ahead of him, and will no doubt find success wherever he goes.”

He’s the second player to transfer after the Gophers’ 8-23 season. The school announced in April that Kevin Dorsey would transfer. He was one of three players suspended for the final four games of the season after sexually explicit videos appeared on his social media account.

In three seasons for the Gophers, Buggs scored 310 points (4.0), grabbed 164 rebounds (2.1) and had 39 assists (1.3) in 77 games.
