Bostick will not make a big difference, unless he's pulled a complete 180 since last season. He's just another guy who can't get his own shot. IMO, that is our problem and will continue to be. We play GREAT defense but have no reliable scorers on this team. (The one guy who can get his own shot, Westbrook, has no idea what a good/bad shot is) That is good enough to beat mediocre teams and pull a few upsets along the way, but we won't compete for the Big 10 or make a tourney run. I don't care how good your defense is, when you get to this level and you play a good team you still have to score. You're not going to hold a Michigan St or Purdue to 55-60 points, and we can't score if the game becomes a halfcourt battle. Good teams will handle our fullcourt press well enough so we won't score easy buckets through our pressure. I don't know if White could have been that guy, but right now I don't see this roster making the next step. I still think we'll be just good enough to make the dance as a 8-10 seed, but we're not good enough to be a threat in March. Jake, good point about these games not being meaningless. These games vs. Butler, A&M, Miami are the games the committee look at when seeding, deciding who gets in. They're not tune up games. Probably the biggest reason we got in the tourney last year was our win vs. Louisville.
