As usually, Todd is shortchanging Club Awesome. Can't say I'm surprised. First, Club Awesome celebrates both Mauer and Morneau, because they're awesome. Second, its members are frankly too numerous to list, but I would be remiss in not explicitly singling out Steve Lentz, creator of the iconic "Did I ever tell you guys I don't worry..." line that was much of the inspiration behind the Club and serves as the Club's official motto.

Additionally, I believe Stiegel is the founder of TFYGC. Matt is a member, as am I.

Ahhhh, I believe I was the first poster to fall head over heels into it with that fine young Harris fellow.
But who needs to split hairs.

He (Harris) should be known as "The extremely lesser of two evils"
or
"The much-better option than you-know-who"

I must contend that I have no need to shortchange Club Awesome.  They do a fine job of that on thier own.

TAWS becomes a FA on the 20th (officially) I believe.  I'm counting the minutes.

Ditto.

Also, Todd, how do you leave me out of the Mauer club? Seriously?

When "the lesser of two evils" is traded, will membership dues be refunded?

That seems rather negative.

I think you also forgot the anti- club, which has no shortage of membership dues because it has so many members, including most everyone on this board, his wife, his mother, etc...

Because you diss half of the club when you claim that Morneau didn't deserve his MVP and Mauer should have had it instead?

I'm starting a "We've got to figure out a way to clone Punto" club.  For more information about the WGTFOAWTCP Club send a self-addressed stamped envelope to Merkle Press.

The beatings against the Wow Club members say differently.

No, no. There is a just "Mauer is awesome/the best" club, also known as the "sensible club" and I'd say the members of that are Dave E, Steve, Pete, and myself.

Wild Crain was tossed around some in the dark days of the early 09 season. The were are also a few names for the bullpen during that time as well. Not sure if any of them are clean enough to be reposted.
