Status: offline 		Browns have a nice thing going, 5-3 and learning how to win. Broncos are having a "Nebraska Husker'-type meltdown this year. How can a team suddenly lose it's entire identity? They suck. Dallas and GB are better than they could have hoped (bummer, I know). Tennesse is solid. Saints have hung together and righted the ship. TB/SanFran/Arizona/Seattle/Jets ..... do they even play in the NFL anymore?

Status: offline 		Things are certainly a little different than most thought. The Browns are much better. Indy is a pretty tough team physically - they outhit the Pats. If Harrison was healthy the result may have been different. The Pats really needed Moss yesterday for sure. The NFC is not as weak as people think

Status: offline 		The Browns are for real, they may have the 3rd best offense in the AFC. The Browns could have had AD but Joe Thomas has been a rock on the left side for them. They also played the Pats really tough and with a few breaks they could have won that game. This team is one to watch out for, for years to come. The NFC is looking better each week, except the NFC west. Aside from the Pats & Colts, the NFC matches up pretty well with the AFC as a whole.

Status: offline 		I agree Rob All this talk about the AFC being so much better is not true. The Colts and Pats are but the top teams in the NFC can hang with the top teams in the AFC less those two.

Status: offline 		NFC EAST Dallas - Jason Garrett is fast becoming the hottest HC prospect for 2008. What he has done with that offense sans Terry Glenn is amazing. I think they edge the Giants and take control of the NFC East but to do that they better run Barber more than they pass. You have to have balance against the Giants or they will beat up your QB. NYG - They are coming on strong and are getting the most out of their talent. If they upset the Cowboys they are a lock for the playoffs and good shot at the division. They will match up well against teams that don't run the ball well. Wash - they are a team like us that is growing and struggling on offense. Campbell is better than Jackson but Peterson is much better than Portis. Their defense has more talent than our's but got smoked by the Pats. Philly - done, put the fork in them. NFC NORTH Green Bay - They have not set the house on fire but they win all the close ones. I see 3 tough games for them (us, @Det, @Dal) so 12 wins is looking real good for them unless Detroit can sweep them. I see them being a tough out in the playoffs but not enough firepower to beat Dallas - especially in Texas. Detroit - proving the doubters wrong, including me. I still see a tough road ahead for them with games at Minn, GB, and San Diego and home games with NYG, GB, Dal, and KC. I see 3-4 losses in those 7 so 11-5 is where I see them finishing. If they sweep GB they could take the division at 12-4. VIKINGS - you would think @GB and @NYG would be losses. Possibly could lose at home to Wash or at Denver but the Broncos run defense is so bad and Peterson could be going for a record in that game so we still have a shot at 9-7. Chicago - put the fork in them like the Eagles

Through nine games, Brady has 33 touchdown passes and four interceptions.

Status: offline 		Three Eagles Fined Mon Nov 5, 2007 The Philadelphia Inquirer reports a league source confirmed a report on ESPN.com that three Eagles players were fined last week for hits in the team's win in Minnesota on Oct. 28. DE Juqua Thomas received a $7,500 fine for a shot to the face of QB Kelly Holcomb as he sacked the Vikings quarterback for an 11-yard loss. Holcomb suffered a concussion and left the game after his head bounced violently on the turf at the Metrodome. Thomas was not penalized on the play. Mikell was fined $5,000 for a late hit on rookie WR Sidney Rice during Minnesota's opening touchdown drive. Mikell received a 15-yard unnecessary-roughness penalty for his hit. LB Matt McCoy, released by the Eagles last Monday, was also hit with a $7,500 fine for a blind-side hit of P Chris Kluwe in the third quarter. (McCoy was signed by the New Orleans Saints.)

Status: offline 		NFC SOUTH Tampa Bay - they are a lot like GB with less hype. They are not that good but they have a real easy schedule. As long as Garcia stays upright I can't see but a couple more losses: @NO and maybe at home to Wash or one of the games with ATL who could make their season by upsetting them. They look like 11-5 and a lock to be at least 10-5. Carolina - with their QB situation I bet they completely fade out in the second half. I see potential losses at GB, jax, TB, and possibly home losses to New Orleans, Sea, and Dallas. I see 7-9. New Orleans - they are coming on strong. Too bad they started so badly. Their second half schedule is easy and I can't see more than 2 losses max and they could run the table. I predict 11-5. ATL - they are playing much better the last 2 weeks. I think they get at least 2 wins in the second half of the season. NFC WEST Seattle - they win this division by default but they are not very good. Alexander looks about done. They have lost 3 of their last 4 and still lead their division! 9-7 takes this division. Yeah, they probably still will go 5-3 in the second half because their schedule is so weak. Arizona - they have lost 3 in a row but they are competitive when Warner is healthy. They lose probably 4 games the second half to finish 7-9, maybe make 8-8 if Warner stays healthy. SF - wheels are falling off here. I can't see them getting more than 2 wins the rest of the year. 4-12 and their draft pick belongs to the Pats! Lambs - they really catch no break from the schedule with road games at NO and Cin with home games against Sea, GB, and Pitts. 3-13 is about the best they can hope for - maybe they can catch SF.

Status: offline 		AFC EAST Pats - the best in the league but they have a ways to go before we crown their As the best of all time. Brady looked like Bollinger in the first 3 quarters with that pressure on him. The Giants have a chance to beat this team with the DEs that they have. The Pats looked slow on defense - Addai ate them alive. If it is windy that day in Giants stadium I say NYG pulls the upset and ends the perfect season. If they didn't have a BYE this week I would say the Bills could shock them but with the rest they will win going away. A lot of people think the Ravens can break the streak but I don't think that they have enough offense to do it. I say 15-1 with the loss at NYG. Bills - you have to be impressed with this team overcoming tragedy and injuries. This team has won 3 straight but has some tough second half games @Jax, Wash, Cle and home games against NE, and NYG. 8-8 looks like the record and solidly in 2nd place in this division. Jets - they are a much better team with Clemens but they still might not win another game. 2 more wins would be the max. Their schedule is brutal. At Dal, NE, and Tenn. Home for Pitt, Cle, and KC. Perhaps they beat their old coach at home (KC) and they should beat Miami at Miami. 2-12 Miami - they stink. Home games against the Jets and Bengals are their best chances for a win. AFC NORTH Pitt - good start but they have some tough games coming up: @NE, Bal and home against Bal, Cle, jax. I see them finishing 10-6. Cle - won 3 straight. If they can beat the Steelers this week they would be in the driver's seat for the division. HUGE game coming up. The only othe tough games they have are @Bal and home against Buf. 11-5 is actually possible but 10-6 is probably. Bal - one of the most overrated teams this year. Their wins have been against bad teams. Road games at Pitt and SD, with home games against Cle, Ind, Ne, and Pitt I see an 8-8 team at best. Cin - put a fork in them. 6-10 at best

Yeah, they could have had Peterson, but I don't think they are regretting taking Joe Thomas. That guy is going to be an All-Pro LT for the next decade. Great work on the divisions JC! I don't disagree with you on any of it so far.

Status: offline 		AFC SOUTH Indy - they are much better defensively than I thought and so is their running game. NE had no answer for Addai. A healthy Marvin Harrison and they win that game. Manning is not a clutch player. Tough game @SD and mildly tough home games with Tenn and Jax coming up. 13-3 or 14-2. If Harrison can get close to healthy for the playoffs they easily could upset the Pats in NE with their running game. Tenn - Young is playing poorly and they are 6-2. I figure he would take a step backwards this year without WRs but he really has fallen apart. If they can get him back to playing like he was the first few games they could upset the Colts witout harrison. If he plays like he did yesterday then the Jags could pass them. Next year Fisher needs to go get some WRs and they could challenge. 10-6 if Young keeps passing poorly, 12-4 if he can get it back going. Jax - cutting Leftwich is coming back to bite them a little. If they had Garrad healthy I would like them to pass Tenn and challenge Indy. When is Garrad coming back? Games @ Tenn, Pitt, and Indy look tough. Home games against San Diego and Buffalo would indicate 3-4 more losses coming up. 10-6 or 11-5 if Garrad comes back soon. Hou - a promising start has fallen apart. They already have 5 losses and road games at Cle, Tenn, Indy with home games against NO, TB, Jax. 7-9 or 6-10 looks likely. AFC WEST San Diego - what a difference a week makes! No, they don't belong with the Pats and Colts! No one wants to win this division. Games @jax, KC, and Tenn with home against Colts, Ravens, and Lions. 8-8 could win this division! I will be midly surprised to see them win 4 of those 6 games to get to 10-6. KC - a QB short of upsetting this division. @ Den, Indy, and Det. Home for Den, SD, Ten smells like 8-8 to me. Denver - I am sure they don't want to see the NFC North any time soon! If Cutler is out a while they are toast. Even with him back they can't run nor stop the run. Road games at Chi, KC, SD and home toughies against Tenn, KC, Min (all good rushing teams). 7-9 Oakland - I guess they are in the running for that college RB? Mccown was just as bad as Culpepper. They could easily lose out.

But the Colts did show everyone how to at least keep it close. You gotta be more physical. And if Tom Coughlin has done anything right in the past few years it has been that. That being said, I think the Pats win 35-17.

Status: offline 		I can see JC's point about that if the Giants pass rush keeps up it's recent pace, Brady may start keeping an eye out on the rushers instead of his WRs. I don't think the Giants offense is scaring anyone, but their defense could cause Brady to make an error or two with that pash rush. It's a bold call on who will break up the undefeated season. I'll give him that. Personally, I think Pitts will be the team. [drinking the Kool-Aid]If they happen to make it to the SB, don't worry, my Packers will beat them[/drinking the Kool-Aid]

Status: offline 		Titans to Host Mike Williams Mon Nov 5, 2007 The Nashville Tennessean reports the Titans will host former Raiders/Lions WR Mike Williams on Tuesday. Williams, selected 10th overall by the Lions in the 2005 draft, was a bust in Detroit, catching only 37 passes in two seasons. The Raiders acquired him in April. He played for USC when Titans OC Norm Chow held the same role for the Trojans.

The Giants have 4 defensive linemen Osi Umenyiora 8.0 sacks Justin Tuck 7.0 sacks Mathias Kiwanuka 4.5 sacks Michael Strahan 4.0 sacks that can flat out rush the passer. The Colts with 2 good pass rushers shut Brady down for 3 quarters. They can rush Brady and still double Moss. 2. The Pats defense is not that great. It clearly is not the defense it was in past years. The old Pats would have never let Addai run wild like that. Shockey and Burress will cause them problems for sure. 3. Weather - end of December the winds in the Meadowlands will be swirling. That will take away the deep ball. 4. Desparation - the Pats most likely will have HFA already locked up. The Giants will either be playing for the NFC East or the Wild Card. They will need this game. A lot of people are sleeping on the Giants. They are better than you think. Ignore the England game. They are not as good as Dallas or maybe not even as good as Green Bay. But for one night they do have enough talent to rise up and beat the Pats.

The scramble field goal against Buffalo and then the 50 yarder that was made by SJ of Oakland, only to be wiped out by a timeout, and then the second 50+ yard attempt hit the post. They could easily be winless. That is why I so wanted them to beat the Pack in regulation. They are horrible. The Packers are getting it done, but I think they can be had. Sorry Craig. I think the Pack and Lions could each lose 4 of their next 5.
