I would expect a couple of injuries plus a FA defection or two would throw a wrench into that...plus there have been rumors of Bill Bilichick retiring after this season. Moss (If he remains in NE) gets another Hammy injury and that team would come down to Earth really fast.

But if they got McFadden, or two stud young LB's, I wouldn't put it past them. And as great as Moss is, Stallworth does do a lot of the same things well if Moss went down for a couple games. Obviously he's not Moss caliber, but I think even without Moss they'd be the best team in football still.

In a fair game, they still beat them. And I didn't say greatest of all-time. Just that they can survive a Moss loss for a couple games if needed. Stallworth is a similar player. Not the CALIBER of player, no doubt, but he does similar things well for their scheme.

 Chargers, Bengals, Ravens could be interested in Jason Garrett Sunday, Nov 18, 2007 9:22 am EST Dallas Cowboys offensive coordinator Jason Garrett has emerged as a candidate for a head coaching job in the NFL. According to the Dallas Morning News there are three potential openings that might interest Garrett. The San Diego Chargers are the most attractive with all the offensive skills the team has. There is also the Cincinnati Bengals, who do have Carson Palmer and Chad Johnson. And finally, the Baltimore Ravens, who need an offensive-minded coach. Source: Dallas Morning News

Lewis didn't criticize the Ravens this time, but did have some harsh words for the officiating in light of Browns PK Phil Dawson's controversial, game-tying field goal at the end of regulation. "I don't agree with the call at all," Lewis said. "I think it was an embarrassment on the league the way the total thing went down. This is a professional business and you send a team in the locker room and the score says, 'final score.' If there's a mistake made, send a letter. You don't put men out there at risk. There were at least 15, 20 guys half-dressed. There were guys in the shower. I'm just sitting there saying, 'Is this really real?' It kind of disturbs football. I think we get a lot of bad breaks."

Status: offline 		Belichick Forced to Defend Actions Again Tue Nov 20, 2007 The Boston Globe reports New England Patriots HC Bill Belichick once agains was forced to defend his rationale for going for it on fourth down while his team was routing an opponent. With the Patriots holding a 42-10 lead over Buffalo late in the third quarter, QB Tom Brady completed a 3-yard pass to WR Randy Moss on fourth and 1 from the Buffalo 10. Two plays later, FB Kyle Eckel scored on a 1-yard run to extend the advantage to 49-10. The crowd at Ralph Wilson Stadium serenaded Belichick and the Patriots with a crass chant when they went for it on fourth down. "I mean, our offense was moving the ball pretty well, and in those situations, at that point in the game, I really don't like kicking field goals," Belichick said. "I feel like that's just adding points. I'd rather go for it on fourth down and give them an opportunity to stop us, and our offense was moving the ball well, so it gives them an opportunity to keep playing." As for the chants, did Belichick hear them? "No, not really," he said. "I'm just trying to coach our team."

 I can see the Ravens point though. Didn't the referees look at video replay to see if the kick was good? Under the rules, that play is not reviewable. How can they review it if it isn't allowed to be reviewed?

Status: online 		When I was watching the game one of the two refs standing under the goal post looked at the other with a did you see it hit the back post? look and hesitated making the call for no good. When the one ref signaled no good the other ref went with the call. Regardless if the "took a look" or not they got the call right. It's more important to get it right than to worry about some technicality. I guess you’d like the ref who saw it make the right call the first time but still why whine when the truth is on video.

Okay, if the officials are going to be able to review a play that isn't reviewable, where do you draw the line? Pass interference isn't reviewable, why don't they illegally use replay to correct blown PI calls?

One went to the review booth and the guy at the other end of the headset told him that it was not reviewable and that they were going to have to come to a consensus on the field without benefit of the video. So the refs huddled and one was absolutely adamant that the ball went through before it was kicked back out. The end result is that they made their decision based on a huddle amongst themselves - NOT a review.

Status: online 		For one I don't even know to what extent they even did look at the play. I'd like to believe that they got it right after getting together and talking it through. Right is right and fair is fair. Getting the call right is an means justify the ends case for sure IMO.
