I think they'll have to take advantage on the inside with the Plumlees, and of course play smart; don't turn the ball over.

Don't sleep on Michigan. Like I've said, they scare me a little bit, as a Duke fan. I think that game Sunday will be closer than most Duke fans think. Any team that can shoot the 3-ball like that can give better teams trouble.

Michigan is not a particularly good 3 point shooting team.  In fact, they are one of the worst 3 point shooting (%) teams in the tournament.

I do like the size in the backcourt though.  That could be a bit of a problem for Duke, especially if Morris DOESN'T shoot so many 3's.

Yeah, but I said "can." Their % isn't anything special, but they've got 5 guys who, while no marksmen like Seth Curry, can spread the floor pretty effectively.

Great finish in the George Mason/Villanova game.

BigEast loses another one.

For sake of accuracy, among the field of 68, Michigan (on the season) ranks 42nd in 3 point %.  However, they do rank 7th in 3 point attempts.  They do shoot a ton of 3's.  So, I get what you're saying.  They could shoot themselves into the game vs. Duke, or they could shoot themselves right out of it.  Morris has no business shooting any of them though.

Right. And if Douglass/Novak/Hardaway are hitting from deep, it gets that much harder to stop Morris's penetration.

Wow. Memphis kind of got screwed the last 30 seconds or so of that game. Oh well.

Great game.

Much better day for me so far today. I've only missed the UT game today, and I'm fairly ecstatic about that result anyway.

Amazing that the West is all favorites so far.

Irving looked pretty damn good late in the 2nd half today, Pete! I thought he looked a little slow on defense, which is probably mainly due to conditioning. But otherwise good.

I think Kellogg had a good point that it probably has taken a bit for those orthotics to loosen up and feel more comfortable for him, plus of course the rust factor.

The state of Tennessee, btw, is out of the tournament. 0-4.

Has anyone ever seen JT2 and twinsfan online at the same time?

No, but I do remember Matt saying that JT2 was the best new poster to come online in years!!

I love the new format of all 4 channels covering the tourney.  Didn't think I would like it, but I never have to watch a commercial and there's ball on for 12 hours straight.  Seems like heaven to me!

Other than me saying he was a good poster, what's with this conspiracy? Yeah, maybe he's an alter ego of someone (I really doubt it though). But it's not me.

I would never research anything like this. And I don't have a clue who Morris is.

I'm going to OD on basketball today. I've got 3 games going on TV right now, and I'm streaming the Lakers game.

Very disappointing slate of games tonight.

VCU/Georgetown game cost me a 5-game parlay on Cent Sports too.

Basically four mid-majors playing in the two games going on right now. Does TV love this or hate this?

Have I mentioned that I hate a parent's stupidity ruined Pepperdine's basketball program and guys like Malcolm Thomas were forced to transfer?

Uggh. He's good.

I love it. Bet the networks don't.
Makes it even more frustrating, how far away a program like the Gophers are, right now, from "powers" like Richmond and Morehead State. Embarassing to see all these smaller schools with lively, exciting programs, led by exciting, energetic young coaches who demand wins and get them.
The last time the entire university got behind a program at the U was .... well, never.
Gawd, we have some pathetic leadership in damn near every sports org in this state.
Sucks to have to live vicariously thru other team's and their fan bases, once the playoffs start (in any sport)
