Nike Hoop Summit. I like him because he's a true center, and none of the other guys are to me. True centers with talent are rare to get and to me, unless you already have one, you have to take the chance. See Bynum, D. Jordan, etc.

I guess I like him a little bit more than that. What I like about him most are:

1) He's smart as hell and an extremely hard worker by all accounts.
2) He has icewater in his veins. He has made a ridiculous amount of big shots for UNC this year, as just a freshman.

I do like Hamilton too, but that's what separates the 2 to me.

Status: offline 		Derrick Williams is intriguing to me, but I'm not sure if he can make a transition to a 3 in the NBA, and he may have to. Kind of a tweener.

Sullinger is the "safe" pick I guess. But obviously does nothing for the Wolves.

There's more and more talk about Barnes coming back to college (wants to win a title) if they don't win it all. Some chatter on the flipside about Mason Plumlee going pro to open up playing time for his brother Marshall next year. That kind of shocks me. I thought sure all 3 brothers would want to play together. They'd still have a solid rotation with Miles/Mason starting and Ryan Kelly/Marshall coming off the bench.

1) he's a risk.
2) i don't think he's going to be a "stud".

but i'd still take him with one of the top picks. centers have a lot of value if they have talent, and kanter does.

I don't disagree.  But Burks seems to be moving up the boards a bit, while Hamilton is hovering in the mid-late teens.

I agree. And I said at the time (and still believe) that George was an absolute steal at #10.

And I like Burks a lot more than George. George was a shooter without much of a slashing game (hell, he was basically Wes Johnson - but 3 years younger). Where Burks has a suspect outside shot, but is a devastating slasher and gets the line at a fantastic clip.

He's be an ideal wing compliment to Wes, with Beasley hopefully being the swing forward scoring machine off the bench.

He can shoot but that part of his game is also developing. I'm realy high on this guy but he needs to get bigger and stronger to be a top level NBA player. Imagine a SG his size that has a great handle.

I do like Burks. I think this draft is deeper than some think. It's not "great" but there's quite a few solid guys, depending on their decisions.

He definitely needs to get stronger, but being slight is much less of an issue on a guard than on a big.

Right now they'd have the Memphis pick but wouldn't have the Utah pick.

I would too. But I'm not sure Kahn would;

1) He's super high on him.
2) He's kind of his "wait and see" card to keep his job.

Not only are they lottery protected, but they eventually can turn into a 2nd round pick (Utah) or cash (Memphis). Something McHale was clearly unaware was possible when he made the Jaric deal...

2011 1st round pick from Utah (Jefferson trade); top 16 protected in 2011, top 14 protected in 2012, top 12 protected in 2013. If Utah's top pick in 2014 is not in the top 9, Minnesota will have the option of switching their own first round pick with Utah. If Minnesota does not receive Utah's top pick by 2014, they will receive Utah's top 2nd round pick.

2011 1st round pick from Memphis via Utah (Jefferson trade); top 14 protected in 2011, top 12 protected in 2012, top 10 protected in 2013, and top 9 protected in 2014 and 2015. If Minnesota does not receive the pick by 2015, they will receive cash considerations from Memphis.
