The Rockets have the 2nd best defense in the NBA since the ASB.

Its absolutely amazing how Morey completely rebuilt his bench on the fly during the season.

I love how proactive Morey and D'Antoni are. If they make a mistake, they just fix it ASAP.

On the other side of the coin … WTF happened to OKC?
They've been putrid.
Shortly after everyone crowned them Kings.

Unlike Houston, their defense has been horrible since the break. They also lack depth.
Adams is really good at what he does, but he can't play outside of the paint, even the pick and roll with him has to start too close to the rim. Grant struggles defending big, traditional PF's. They also miss Roberson. Their current SG's provide even less offense than Roberson did, and not close to the defense.

I see a quick out for them in the playoffs, unless Westbrook and George can sustain consistent, spectacular play for a month.

Wouldn't bet against Westbrook, or anyone else who can put up a triple-20. Dude is amazing.....

Houston is a machine. They are a real threat to anyone they face in the playoffs.

Might be the game that got Giannis the MVP.

That was really fun. 35 minutes with that stat line, and Giannis had 0 turnovers. Remarkable.

Doesn't get the media hype that some of the others do, but he's the best player in the game right now. And, there is no reason to believe he's not going to get better.

You would have to search hard to find a bigger Westbrook fan, but....

Harden is the guy to fear in the West. He can shoot. He makes his teammates better. He can take over a game in a half court set. He's the modern day Jordan, with a better perimeter game.

He's had atrocious (like Timberwolves bad) coaching his entire career before this season.

And yet, unlike certain players on the local team, he's come back better and better every single year of his career.

Lakers coaching staff fully expected to be fired in hours after the final game of the season. They had believed they were gone for months. Now? Magic quits in public, saying he's too scared to tell Jeanie Buss face-to-face. What an embarrassing episode for a historic franchise.

I'll preface with I'm not a Simmons fan. Absent from his list, The Celtics regressed.

He became a NBA gossip expert? Not surprised.

How many seasons have we heard about all the draft picks Boston has acquired, how good they are going to be, how great of a GM Ainge is?

When does it come to fruition? The East is still the lesser conference. James is not there to thwart your efforts. Selling tomorrow.....nobody cares about that. The Legacy Lives.

Triple bummer, he's now available for broadcasts during the playoffs. Quadruple, so is Avery Johnson.

You don't like Avery's accent.

A guy who went from terrible to very good on broadcasts is Webber. Used to cringe listening to him. Now very good. Also, really like Reggie Miller.

Huge blow:

Adrian Wojnarowski@wojespn
Marcus Smart has suffered a torn oblique on left side and could be sidelined for the first two rounds of the playoffs, league source tells ESPN.

Insipid and evil all in the same package.....he ruined a young woman's career in New Jersey because she wouldn't sleep with him, and, in fact, was repulsed by him. When her (lack of) feelings came to light as she entered a relationship with someone else, he had her and her new man drummed out of the organization, all the while keeping on with his fake folksiness......

Avery. I don't think any of this was public, but I heard about it because a friend of mine was working there at the time. Avery is a massive hypocrite, not the "Aw shucks" role he plays on TV.
