We've played more games than most of the teams around us in the standings, but we are up to 4th place! That's where we need to be.

Yep, it's good to see Bitzer playing well. We're going to need him to win us some games down the stretch for us to get home ice for playoffs.

Planning on taking my boy to the Saturday game. It's kinda weird playing hockey against Arizona St., but this should be a good weekend to build some confidence, get some guys some playing time, and hopefully get two wins. That would get us over .500.

If any of you Fighting Hawk lovers ever watch their weekly highlight reel, called Through the Doors, if you ever see a good-looking young man opening the Zamboni doors and flying out on to the ice to move nets, that'd be my boy.

Nice dominating win for the Beavers last night. Arizona State may not be ready for prime time. Maybe they should schedule the Gophers?

Bitzer remains on fire. However, with these being nonconference games, I wouldn't be surprised to see him sit out tonight. Have fun at the game, drew!

So, I didn't go last night. Something about -25 and -45 wind chill made me think watching on my couch would work out okay.

I think you're right about ASU not being up to this level yet. Still, good to be above .500. Next weekend against Ferris might be the biggest series of the rest of the year when it comes to getting home ice.

And I'm with you SMF. Recruiting to ASU probably wouldn't suck. I'm also surprised by how many players are now coming from the South.

Lost some respect for Ferris State there. Guy thought he could draw a penalty by intentionally sliding until he knocks the net off. Jerk. Didn't work.

SCSU all over Western Michigan 4-0. I suppose I should make the Huskies my #2 team because of proximity. ......but I just can't do it. Can't completely explain it.

I really like this Ferris State coach they are interviewing. I remember his interviews the past 2 years too. Straight shooter.

If Serratore takes over for Lucia, I'd pursue Daniels to take over at BSU. But I suppose Ferris is a better job than BSU?
