Why not? A win is a win. A loss is a loss.

That's how you see it.
I don't.
I never want guys demoralized.
Large goal deficits do that to some players and teams.
Coached half my career with a guy who insisted we pull goalies all the time, we'd do it anytime we were down and there was five or less left.
Hell even more than that sometimes.
Worked once maybe in forty attempts. (to come all the way back)
Not worth it imo.

Might have been a completely different game if Gerry or Harms would have buried their breakaways in the first minute of the game. I thought it was a very even game through 2 periods, but the Gophers definitely outplayed us in the 3rd. We were pressing and we don't have the skill to be playing the Gophers from behind. On the other hand, we're a pain in the ass to try to come from behind. Too bad we couldn't have got that early lead and make the Gophers chase the game.

Congrats to the Gophs, and to the Dawgs for winning.

We have bigger fish to fry next weekend. If we play well against Tech, we will win the the MacNaughton. A sweep pretty much locks it up for us. Split, we're in pretty good position. If the Huskies sweep us, we're in trouble.

I'm likin the Beaves.
Excited to pull for them in the NCAAs once the Gophers season crashes shut.
Felt bad for our boy Bitzer yesterday.
The Gophers may not win as much as they should, or used to, or think they should etc .... but I will go to my grave saying there is never a program in the country with more raw talent.
Even when w were good ... we were miles better than everyone, in the skills part of the game.
We skate better on the whole, we handle better than anyone on the whole, we flow better ... I'll never be convinced otherwise.
All that said ...
In this great game, it means zip if you don't funnel it into team play and grit and determination.
We have run PPs in my lifetime that would make NHLers drool.
We have dominated play at times to ridiculous levels.
Problem is ... and always will be ... we did/do/will do, it IN GAMES WE WILL STILL LOSE.
The desire to score isn't the same in all kids
The desire to win isn't the same in all kids
The desire to leave a legacy isn't the same in all kids.
The early '00s kids were so unique and so fun, and we took them for granted.

Just tied it at 2 in beginning of the 3rd. Tech has badly outplayed us.

SCSU with another Friday night win. This time at North Dakota. They keep losing the momentum by losing on Saturday. IF they can win tonight the playoffs come into sight.

Of all the indignities a man can suffer, you have set the mark. Having to watch a Hallmark movie is a rough way to go.

I had a family thing and got home to see the 3rd period. What a great weekend for the Beavers!

Movie just ended. Since we could FF thru commercials I thought I'd be able to see the end of the game. But it was surprisingly over already. I'll check the box score, but I'm optimistic because of your post.

Yep, Bitzer is awesome. Seems like I take having a good goalie for granted now after having Bitzer for the last 3 years. But he really is a difference maker for BSU.

How would you rate a season where we win the league, but miss the NCAAs? I'm obviously hoping we still get in. I think winning the WCHA is a huge accomplishment and makes a great season. Let's wrap it up next weekend!

Another Saturday night overtime loss for SCSU. It's like a broken record. Win on Friday then lose in OT on Saturday. Again and again and again.

BSU wins tonight too. What a season! And out of nowhere, kinda. This is domination. Only a couple conference losses. Pretty crazy! Gotta win the tourney. We have a chance, but no better than 40% I'm thinking.

Apparently the WCHA dropped the ball by allowing "Celebration" to be played in the background during the ceremony. As a result, they had to kill the audio on the clip.

Congrats and good luck in your Tourney. Will you have to win that to make the Playoffs? Didn't St. Cloud beat you in the N. Star Cup. St. Cloud should make the tourney.
