Considering we made little (no?) attempt to re-sign him, not sure why people are pissed at JA.

No anger here. Obviously would prefer he be elsewhere, but it's not like he spit in our faces.

He'll wear helmet and pads during his workout today. Why? Is it so that he looks bigger?

I was impressed with the last couple of throws. They said in 15 minutes so far, the ball hasn't hit the ground yet. He is showing a strobe accurate arm

Unreal
Watch Manziels long throws today.
Watch them.
Then go back and think of Ponders long throws (or hell, even go look them up)
What kind of bullshit were our Viking leaders trying to sell us these past couple years?
Good God.
Its not even the same game.
The touch and loft he puts on those long outs? Its simply something Ponders never been able to do. Ever.

Yet some NFL FILMS analyst(expert I'm sure) says there are?'s about thearm strength.

Then what did they think about Ponder?

And if Goodell allows the use of brooms while on the pass rush, Johnny Football showed today that he can totally handle it.
Which is nice.

Not at you Sweens.
I'm pissed that even if he is improbably there at #8, we will pass on him.
THATS what being a MN sports fan is like.
We desperately need a lift at QB. We will sit and watch others who need them ... go get them.

The good thing is that Bridgewater will probably be there and I doubt Turner lets him slide. I saw a post on this site somewhere that was:

1. Bridge
2. Shazier
3. Murray (this pick is my guess)

I would be over the moon with something like that.

1. Not a doubt in my mind Manziel won't be there at #8.
2. If he is I don't know why anyone is assuming the Vikings will pass on him if he is there. It sounds like they are doing their homework on him, including talking to Fran Tarkenton for his insights.
3. If Bridgewater is there and the Vikings take him, I will have no issue with it. When the college seasons ended, he was ranked the #1 QB in the draft. His stock has fallen, based on things that did not happen during his football career. For his career he had a 68.4% completion percentage and 71% his final year. He improved in every category each year to the point that he had not only a 71% completion rate, but a QB rating of 171.1 and TD/Int of 31/4. You can make the argument that it was not against elite competiotion, but then you must also acknowledge that he did not have elite teammates either. I'm sorry, but in the face of that I just don't put much stock in combine times or pro days. There is footage almost 10,000 passing yards for anyone to evaluate how he throws the football. Based on that he was initially the consensus #1 pick in the draft. Kind of like Aaron Rodgers was before he got over analyzed and dropped all the way to #26.

Why do you say this?

We didn't pass on Moss,
We didn't pass on AD,
We didn't pass on Patterson (hell we traded UP to get him).

If he's there at 8, i will predict this now. The Vikings WILL take him.
