Those are ridiculous numbers in today's world.
Embarrassing sports legacies.

Sadly many fans

Not only twins/vikings/MN Sports fans

go to the ol' "At least we're not the _____________"

Loser approach

And luckily, as we are saying, those comparisons are running out
Cleveland has an NBA title
Hell, not that long ago Boston was the land of losers
Never thought I'd see a SB title in Seattle or NO ahead of us
And DO NOT Get me started on Stanley Cups everywhere, but in MN

Yep, that stat bothers me more every year
"teams to have not won a SB"
Heard the other day that only 4 have not played in one?

I guess if you're a Lions fan every year is a joke.

The Vikings haven't been there since January 9,1977.

Lions
Jags
Texans
Browns

Jets not since SB 3

The Lions stat floored me.

They have 1 Playoff win since 1957. And it was 30 years ago.

Crimson Tide defensive tackle Christian Barmore was named Defensive MVP.

This guy was a BEAST last night

Good news is, the Vikings were supposed to pick this guy at 14 or wherever we landed
Bad news is, I think he just climbed the charts last night, probably out of our range
A fast 310 pound ball-carrier destroyer

Barmore is actually considered a late 1st rd to early 2nd rd pick.

Although as you mentioned. his stock rose after last nights game.

If we could trade down a bit and still get him. it would also fulfill Ed's draft model.

Christian Barmore’s best fits in the 2021 NFL Draft

Christian Barmore is an exciting defensive line prospect, and down the stretch, he might have done enough to rise in the interior defensive line class. He’s not a surefire first-round pick. However, he’s bound to get early interest with his upside and relatively complete pallet of traits. Additionally, if he doesn’t go in Round 1, he’s an excellent value addition on Day 2.

Barmore’s polish will need to be corrected at the NFL level. If he doesn’t go to a team with a proven track record of development on the interior defensive line, his upside could be impacted. It’ll be up to teams to make sure they can create an environment conducive to further development for Barmore. Beyond that, Barmore has the size, athleticism, and urgency to be a versatile threat.

Which teams could use Barmore’s talents the most?

Barmore’s size profiles best in a 4-3 defensive tackle role, which lines up most often at the three-technique, across from the guard’s outside shoulder. But with his length, power, and initial burst, Barmore can also line up farther outside, and he can also cause disruption all the way to the nose in a 3-4.

That said, when thinking of the three-technique as Barmore’s best alignment, teams like the Cowboys, Vikings, Saints, and Raiders seem like his best fits

https://www.profootballnetwork.com/christian-barmore-nfl-draft-player-profile-alabama-defensive-tackle/

I think I'd rather see us draft a difference making 3T than a DE with our first pick.

The Keenum/Diggs miracle 3 years ago today.

What a great night to be there and go nuts. It was something. On the sideline I watched from the nosebleeds.

My mom was on her deathbed then. Very sad time for our family and this was the one bright spot during that time. My daughter and I were watching in the "sports bar" in our basement. We were up out of our seats standing in front of the big screen standing nervously. She says, "Dad, is there any chance?" I said, "There is, but it isn't real likely". I'm hoping for a FG chance like most everyone else. Pandemonium ensued with us each going crazy, whiffing on high 5 after after high 5 while screaming I can't believe it, and finally we just hug. I still can't believe that DB whiffed like that.

Mom died 5 days later and the Vikes laid an egg in Philly.

Dang.

Sorry, man. That's a tough part of that memory.

In our section of the stadium we were hoping for a FG

but not confident it would be made. At all. Forbath had made fro 53, but had missed from 49. Every kick was nail biting in that game.

The egg in Philly was so bad i turned it off at halftime. They were never ready.

I remember when Diggs caught the ball I was screaming GET OUT OF BOUNDS...but then I realized that he had an unfettered path to the endzone and I just started hollering!!!!

And then the next week they embarrassed the crap out of me again.

This team has never, never, ever, handled luck or success with anything but dumbfounded yokelness.

Win a close game? Get swell headed and eat your own ass next game.

Make the playoffs.. 80% of the time play like it’s a pointless preseason game you just happened to show up for.

Get to a championship or Super Bowl game, [I realize that a lot of you, have never seen that type of situation], put on a three sizes too small dog collar, pull your jock into the super wedgie position, Put your boxing gloves on your hands and your helmet on backwards and say “ I’m ready to win!”

That is life as a Vikings fan.

Falcons offering HC job to Arthur Smith, OC of the Titans.

Nice. After jags hiring of Urban Meyer, another white NFL coach, to go with all the white GM's. The NFL really struggles with giving others opportunities.

Vikings DB coach gone to LSU as their d-coordinator

Much like the Offensive Coordinator, a revolving door position with this team.

I guess this will be just the third in 3 years

Jerry Gray was every year until 2020 under Zimmer, replaced by this guy who is now gone.

Not a big fan of racial quotas but I can appreciate the argument.

Decades of white coaches plugging their kids, relatives, and buddies into coaching roles. These people tend to be the same race as the coach.

Tough to get lots of minority candidates when there isn't that many minority OC's and DC's in the pipeline.

Frankly, the few minority HC's that exist really need to hire and promote minority coaches under them. The path to more minority head coaches is a lot of successful minority OC's and DC's.

I don't understand why Bieniemy doesn't have a HC job. Is he a poor interview? He would be my #1 choice.

Bienemy is on a team in the superbowl....other teams can't hire him yet. and other teams got impatient. They should really stop anyone from hiring new coaches until after the Superbowl.

Texans job is still open, isn't it?

Bienemy is in a precarious position though.... he, like a certain Chilidog before him is the OC under Andy Reid....How much of the offense is Eric Bienemy?

I would have him lower on my list to be honest.

Eric Bienemy was actually a college running back and an NFL running back..

His credentials, and I would have to say his familiarity with game planning and how an offense should work, is light years more comprehensive than Brad Childress could ever approach..

Just being a coach under the portly wings of Andy Reid, is not an automatic disqualification in my book.

Childress was over his head the minute he set foot in the NFL as any kind of coach.

Bienemy, not so much.

My prediction is that she will join Kirk Cousins as the only female Pro Bowl QBs in NFL History.
