Seriously, how much does Spielman regret letting Kluwe go at this point? Not that it wasn't time -- he wasn't that great and was expensive -- but pretty clearly, Spielman was cocky from the Blair Walsh pick the year before. After the lawsuit and the fact that his chosen replacement blows...I'm guessing he would take that one back.

There's no rule that says they can't bring Kluwe back. I guess his veteran minimum would be the hang-up.

Ya, I'm sure they're itching to bring back a mediocre PUNTER that sued them....

It could create some goodwill with the community.

Dustin, no one is saying Kluwe was an all-pro. I had no problem with replacing him. But in hindsight, cutting him and drafting Locke has been a complete and utter disaster.

It has, no denying that. I'm not saying that Locke is good. He's been awful, I agree. But Kluwe was not the answer and is still not the answer. I don't care about Kluwe's stance on the issues; that's fine. I just don't think a punter is a position where you should deal with extra media drama. Especially for one that is average at best. We can do better than both. I feel like punter is a bigger position for us than other teams because of how we are built (running game/defense).

It's unfathomable to me to punt as your JOB, yet you can't coffin corner or lift one so your cover guys can get under it.
He's awful.
Wtf does he work on?

Holding for FG/PAT

Or .... Stealing money, I guess.
He's awful at his freaking JOB

Yep, I believe that there are a number of guys on the street that were let go at some point in 2014 that are better than him

But Ricky doesn't want to admit it was a bad pick.

Always used to say this about the Gophers too.
If Mason would have walked into a student commons area one night and said "I need a punter" he Would have been miles ahead.

Same with some of those Tubby point guards. You couldn't tell me they couldn't find someone on campus that was a star PG in HS that could have functioned better than Hoffarber (sp?) at point.

Bingo
Some business classes have better athletes than we used to trot out there.
Shouldn't happen. Ever.

Not sure why, but as soon as the Vikes start extending some guys, they either start aging quickly or get hurt.

Rudolph extension was a mistake. Chase Ford can do the same thing. Greenway extension was, too.

Griffen extension so far looks good. Not sold that Robison's was a good deal.

The turnstiles that are the MN offensive tackles? Serious wasted money.

I missed the whole second half. was so disgusted iwth the first, I skipped it.

But seeing the replay, what a joke the penalty on smith was. It was the violent motion he made at RG that drew the flag. barely nicked him

That said, he and some others do need to make better decisions. Too many penalties wind up hurting them, when they can't afford giving up the yardage.

Mildly disagree on Rudolph, Ed -- assuming he can stay healthy, which he obviously had trouble with -- but I think he brings a lot more to the table than Ford.

Couldn't agree more on the o-line. Yeesh, what a debacle.

Bercich just FRIED Loadholt all day yesterday.
Then , of course, he was featured on most TC recaps last night, chatting up his contributions to the win.

Had to chuckle, read the Philly newspaper this morning.
Their story of their game was ... It's horrible, we lost Foles. Sanchez was barely passable, but ok, hated having him out there.

TC media would have hosted a parade for a backup that got that win done on the road. Or at least a statue.
Like we've always said .... Easiest place in America to play sports. Jelly soft media and fans.

Loved the post-game pressers yesterday too.
Brady spent his time admiring and praising his teammates for buying in five weeks ago and going to work.
Manning spent his time beating himself up, and accepting ALL of the blame.
That's what two HOFers look like.

Offensive line is #1 offseason priority. Not one of their jobs should be safe. I'd be happy with a complete purge of all five of them. The new five couldn't be worse.

Wide receiver priority #2. Patterson doesn't seem interested in catching passes.

Rudy definitely brings more dropped passes...

We need a better Safety too.  Someone to shore up the back line.  Blanton isn't getting it down.  He takes horrible angles and routinely gets trucked by RB's.

Yes, I hate Blanton. Unless Exum has potential to take that job we need to upgrade there.

OL, Safety, Greenway replacement are my top 3 priorities at this point.

Win a couple games in a row. bye week to relax

Right.

Now the AP case jumps back in front. Plea agreement? Will he sit out any games?

I"ll be curious to see how the NFL handles this. Certainly looking like a plea to a misdemeanor might happen pretty quickly here.

Ya, and it's tough to see the NFL giving a harsh penalty when he's already sat for over half the season and it's a misdemeanor.

Goodell set the bar at six games for domestic violence, though, and the NFL hasn't punished him so far. I suspect we don't see him active this year.

The only question will be if he gets thru the day without admitting any more last-minute weed smoking ........

Sigh

So true.

Dave, I'll be curious on that. Because while he hasn't been suspended, he has been out. So I could see a scenario of a suspension for 0-2 games but a fine of 6-8 games' pay.

That's a travesty that needs to be stopped.

1) It's Aaron Rodgers.

2) We don't want women wearing ugly colors everywhere.
